Victoria created them because, after failing to kill Bella, she wanted to destroy all the Cullens (or at least destract them so she could get to Bella), but she knew she couldn't do it alone. It left a shield around him that Voldemort couldn't break through. He's "obsessed with snakes" because he can talk to them - a very rare gift in the wizarding world. Also, wizards don't age like humans do. So, Voldemort (and Hagrid and McGonagal, and Flitwick, and Dumbledore) are all well over fifty but they are still strong and vital and powerful. Dumbeldore was 115 when he died, but he was still a very powerful wizard. Same thing with him losing to Harry; Harry was protected by his mother's sacrifice. "And those idiots Crabbe and Goyle, if their so stupid, how did they get accepted in Hogwars?" Because iq has nothing to do with being accepted into Hogwarts. No one could have known how stupid they really were before they got their letters; how could they? They'd never been to school. Hogwarts isn't a private school like you're thinking, where you have to pass all kinds of tests and such to get in. It's public school for wizards. If you have magic, you can come learn. MarauderForever It has to be opinion, because you obviously don't know facts that SUPPORT opinions. 1. It's not self-confidence, it's hope that he can defeat him. Harry knows that the prophecy doesn't necessarily mean him but could mean Neville. He thinks he's going to die because of the prophecy and is just holding onto determination and hope that he won't die. And if he was THAT self confident, he wouldn't have gone into hiding. And he finally gives himself up as a sacrifice from BRAVERY and selflessness knowing he'd save his friends. 2. Voldemort (the freaky old snake obsessed guy has a name. Several in fact.) lives so long because 1. He drank Unicorn blood. 2. Split his soul in to 8 pieces. From the first book you know he's fighting death because he's after the Philosopher's stone. If someone killed thousands effortlessly and had a band of people who were still torturing while you were 'dead' and then you come back even just a bit (like on someone's head, a diary, etc) yeah people would be scared. Look at what his Diary did! He managed to unlock the Basilisk and attack students from a DIARY. 3. Well, seeing as a cupboard is dark, that would strain the eyes thus making the need for glasses greater. Plus it oculd be hereditary. What do you have against glasses that make the book so bad? And sometimes you just need glasses. No reason. You just need them. 4. He's a child. He isn't going to go out to Child Services and tell them stuff. He has no access for a phone. He has no computer. He's locked away and he has the basic needs. Plus it was instilled on him at an early age to follow what his Uncle and Aunt tell him to do. It's psychological fear and raising. The information about being a wizard breaks that though. 5. Just because someone is stupid doesn't mean they can't get into a school. Even in the real world. At hogwarts, you just need magic in your blood to attend. Whether you pass or fail is up to you. plus there is a thing called Cheating. Even Ron and Harry used it. SO please, please know what you're talking about next time. Before you state an opinion. Just because you have an opinion doens' tmean it can't be stupid.

Voldemort is a badass (I have to address this first, because the fact that you think age matters when it comes to a person so terrifying people can't say his name is kinda prudent). He gets these new bodies, making them fit, keeping him young and unable to die. He's a nasty SOB, but he's scary as hell. "Oh, my parents are dead, and a crazy psycho-murder is out to get me. I'm f-cking awesome." Naw, yo. Just naw. 3. Crabbe and Goyle: I'm guessing Hogwarts doesn't take that into consideration.
