Can bạn remember when bạn first met? What were bạn first empression of each other?

Cariba: It was our first ngày of filming and I didn’t have a car in Sydney at the time, so I asked Kate to pick me up. I got us coffee and I just felt really bad about making her come and pick me up.
Kate: Did bạn really? I thought bạn were such a cutie!

Kate this is your third season with Blue water High. How have bạn found working with the different casts?
K: Really good! The first cast was really close and I can see how these guys are very close as well. It’s almost like a mirror image of the first time around.

Did bạn have any Lời khuyên for Cariba and the cast this year?
K: I just told them that they weren’t going to be babied.
C: I think from the beginning, people were like, “Prepare to be cold: know that it’s going to be uncomfortable”. And how many times were we freezing our bums off in our bikinis?!
K: I know how that feels. It sucks!

Speaking of bikinis, bạn have to wear them quite regularly in the show. Do bạn feel any pressure to look a certain way?
C: Definitely within the industry [in general], I feel a lot of pressure. I’m constantly told that I’m not quite the right look, and it can play on your insecurities. But because Blue water is about elite athletes, I was thêm comfortable in a bikini because I’m quite muscular.
K: Fortunately, I wear clothes this time around! But the first season we would wear bikini in the kitchen, and for me it was real shock. I remember feeling really uncomfortable because I never walk around so bravely dressed. I was aware that I didn’t want to change my appearance hoặc lose dramatic amounts of weight because it would send the wrong message.

Are bạn conscious of being role models?
K: I’m constantly on my best behaviour! The other ngày I was in the siêu thị and there was a bunch of tweens following me around the aisle and I actually stopped because I knew they were watching me. But then I thought, “Get over it, Kate, just buy your chocolate!”

Are either of bạn in a relationship at the moment?
K: No. It’s not even exciting anymore, it’s just the way it is. A few years ago, I was willing to compromise on a few things. But I think the older bạn get, the thêm bạn realise that if bạn continue to compromise on what bạn think is acceptable, you’ll wonder why you’ve ended up with someone who’s completely wrong for you. And that goes for friendship as well. Now I have a core group of Những người bạn who I know I can count on, and they can count me.
C: I’m very pick as well. I’ve never been someone who’s had lots of friends. I’d prefer to have two people who I can trust rather than 20 Những người bạn for convenience.

When was the last time bạn had a good cry?
C: I had a fight with a good friend two nights cách đây and I cried then because I didn’t want our friendship to end. I’ve fought with Những người bạn before, but never to the point where a friendship might end. We’ve sorted it out now.
K: About 10 phút ago, as a good friend passed away this morning. I was in rehearsals when I got the massage and I had to let everyone know.

What do bạn both have planned, career-wise?
C: I’m moving to Queensland again soon for the third season of [Network Ten series] H2O just add water. Filming starts in October and it runs until around March.
K: I’m in the middle of rehearsals for đường phố, street Angel, a short feature about a 14-year-old đường phố, street kid, who rides a skateboard and knows martial arts. So I’ve been learning martial arts and doing yên cương, dây nịt work, as well as learning to skateboard. It’s lots of fun, but I have bruises. I woke up this morning and my ribs were killing me! There’s a lot of stunt work, so I’m being manhandled, picked up and thrown.
What would bạn do if bạn weren’t diễn xuất hoặc performing?
C: That’s a though câu hỏi because it’s not something I’ve ever thought about – there’s not really anything else that I can do! I find forensic science really interesting. I don’t know if I’d have the stomach for it, but I tình yêu those shows, even though they’re glamorised. I find it interesting that they can piece together a crime. I would tình yêu to be able to do that.
K: I think I’d try to get behind the camera, documentary film-making with a small camera crew. It would allow bạn to get into places that bạn wouldn’t normally go, which would allow me to combine my tình yêu of travel with making films.
