Close your eyes through your entire practice session. Do not picture your way around the fretboard, hear your way around it.

Hear yourself to the tiếp theo note, to the next, chord, to the tiếp theo scale. It should be a relaxed exercise, not a strained one. Like when you're at a distance from a battery powered clock.
