No Never will be.This look's like one of those like Step up,Honey, Stomp the yard.Dont get me wrong those where good movie's but pls dont make remake from an good old classic because the remake will never be good as the old classic,dont try to push another regular dancing movie by trying to make remake from an old classic and try to gain something on the BOX Office it's sad.

I don't think that it's better, but its certainly very different; I've never seen the first movie, but I can say that much. Some of the things that they included, such as the swearing and the REALLY lewed dancing, they could have done without. However, that being said, everything else about this movie was AWSOME!! The story-line, acting, songs...eveything was great. My favourite parts are the barn dance, when Rem is teaching Willard to dance, and the prom at the end. It's got some very good lessons to it, as well as being just FUN to watch :)

i never saw the original

I like this one better people are so not cool to think that its not its better and I know it is theres more people that said its better then the original so get a brain and actually understand what poeple would like more then you, basically this one is better because Ren and Willard and other people but a lot of people love Ren, its Ren all the way!

Nope not even close-the acting on Ren and Rev. Shaw's parts was god awful-gone is the brim and fire thanks to John Lithgow and hello Kevin Bacon was the original Ren! Yes there was some silver lining in our female lead (of course I could be biased) and some of the other kids but thats about it. As much as I enjoyed this one, I will always carry a torch for the original
