"Crap. I didn't think the sun would be rising right now," đã đưa ý kiến Marshal Lee as he turned his head towards the horizon. He had been flying all night and was heading for his house in the water caves. "That stupid rock slide in Blue Rock Pass stalled me and broke my umbrella. Maybe I can find a place to sleep til night." Marshal mumbled to himself. He stopped in the air and scanned the field. He then spotted on shady cây in the distance. "Perfect." He đã đưa ý kiến as he quickly flew towards it. As he got closer, the cây seemed a lot smaller that he thought. He knew he didn't have time to be picky and simply sat under that leaves. Just then, the sun began to rise. "Whew. Just in time." He thought. He slowly leaned against the thân cây of the cây and slowly closed his eyes to sleep until sunset…
SSSSS!!!
Marshal's eyes snapped open from the sound of burning and from the feeling of intense pain on his hand. Wincing and cursing, he held his hand and saw the sun's rays were coming from his right side, and the tree's shade was shrinking. "Dang it! So much for sleeping." He looked for another cây he could fly to without being out in the sun too long, but there weren't any close enough. Perfect. he thought to himself. He crossed his arms to think of a way not to get burned alive. Suddenly, he took off his plaid over shirt, held it above his head and changed in to a bat. His áo sơ mi made perfect shade for his little bat body. He smiled at his own genius and began to walk out from under the small shade. At first he walked until he got tired and began to fly. It almost worked but his áo sơ mi kept flopping onto his wings, making him unsteady. Frowning, Marshal kept trying to fly, when suddenly he saw the cỏ was spinning towards him.
Crash!
Marshal landed on the ground, HARD onto his left arm. "Ow!" he shouted as he returned to his original from cradling his broken arm. He finally realized he was unprotected from the sun when he felt every inch of his body burning from the intense sunlight. Marshal frantically looked for his shirt. He saw it lying a few feet away from him chim bồ câu, bồ câu for it, while at the same time transforming into a bat again. He used the áo sơ mi as a tent like thing to protect him. Sighing, Marshal looked at his right arm and saw it was bending the wrong way."Fan-freaking-tastic," he muttered to himself. "Well, there's no use just sitting here." He stood up, held the áo sơ mi up over him with his good arm, and began walking phía trước, chuyển tiếp still in his bat form. He looked around for a place where he could rest. It was mid-morning, the time he should have been sleeping. Feeling his eyes droop, he shot them back open. His pace slowed, and the áo sơ mi began feeling heavier and heavier. His eyes were beginning to fall again, and his legs wobbled with every heavy step he took. He suddenly collapsed onto the ground underneath his shirt. Dang it. I can't fall asleep here… he thought, but his body had already made a decision. As his eyelids began to sag, he saw a figure coming towards him. "Yeah, ambush someone who's down, bạn coward!" he said, frowning. But his head had already lain on to the ground, and as he closed his eyes, the shadow of a person was above him and reaching down at him.
Marshal's eyes flickered open. He felt a giường underneath him and saw a wooden roof above. He snapped open his eyes now, now knowing he wasn't outside any more. He sat up quickly and felt a sharp pain in his right arm. Wincing in pain, he looked down a t it to see it in a treo lên, sling made from his own plaid over shirt. When did this happen? His eyes scanned the room for a clue. Across from him was a dresser, and one of the drawers were open, revealing a blanket and pillow. There was a window to the right of the dresser and a staircase to the right of the giường he was laying in. He clambered out of the giường and quietly tip-toed to the window. The sun was just setting. Using his left arm, he slid the window open. Marshal swung his leg over and was about to jump out and fly when he heard a voice.
"And just where do bạn think you're going?" someone đã đưa ý kiến behind him.
Marshal stopped dead in his tracks. What do I do now? I'm too weak o fight, so I guess I'll have to scare them off. Marshal's face contorted into a green face with piercing yellow eyes and hissed as he turned around behind him. He stopped when he saw who had been standing behind him. "F-Fionna?!"
