I've been with fanpop for almost five months now and at first I thought it was a really happy place, I've made ten spots and all of them are doing well, I save, rate and always comment, however I've finally seen the nasty side of Fanpop, my first spot copped a lot of flack because it was classed as 'another ngẫu nhiên spot' but it's going strong and gaining những người hâm mộ as is most 'other' duplicate spots I've seen, all of my spots have been a great form of creativity and experience for me, it sounds too good to be true, AND IT IS because there is some really nasty people on our happy fanpop place, people who leave mean comments, it's happened to me and I've seen some real sh***t slinging matches and verbal hoặc 'web' abuse that goes beyond belief, I almost left fanpop when it first happened to me but I carried on doing what I was doing and stuck with it, but it's not a good example for our future Fanpoppers and the newbies who haven't been here long, people leaving nasty các bình luận regarding images, abusing and swearing at each other in forums, bagging each others spots and ideas, and people whining about duplicate spots and image credit, as I've mentioned before, threats about reporting people, it's getting really ugly, is anyone up for some 'fun' on Fanpop? because I'm staying, I'm not quitting and I'm going to set an example bởi standing my ground and continue to have fun on Fanpop, and that's true etiquette plus ! ! !

So this may seem a little "anal" of me, but I run into a lot of video đã đăng on spots that are broken, and for that, I báo cáo them. Still, I wonder why it's so difficult for the original poster to go back through some of the things they previously đã đăng every once in a while (every 3 months?) to check which video may now have a copyright claim, etc. I certainly don't mind cleaning up spots bởi reporting broken content, but it is very time consuming...

As a tip, and to make this job easier for people who contribute a lot, broken video often have a gray video camera as the image instead of...

I have created quiet a few spots now and I tình yêu contributions of any kind, but I am surprised at how many people will pick on 'any' người hâm mộ pick câu hỏi just for the sake of it even if they don't like the subject at hand.
Perfect examples of this behavior is what I have noticed not only on spots that I've created but many other spots as well, someone may put up a câu hỏi such as: 'Do bạn Like The Movie Enchanted?' and someone will answer 'Never Seen It' hoặc another question, say - 'Which Bambi bức ảnh Is Your Favorite?' only for someone to come up with 'I Hate Bambi.'
It's not whether bạn are a fan...

Just a little heads up.

It has been going on for awhile, but I've noticed it especially most recently. The bottom line of this entire bài viết lays in its title: pick's aren't made for advertising.

Repetitively, picks are being created that ask "I've just made a spot for ___, will bạn tham gia it?", hoặc something along those lines. Picks like these aren't really opinions and hold little gumption in terms of an interesting phiếu bầu hoặc contrasting các lượt xem on a subject. Picks like these are being made to solicit new spots, which isn't what picks are for.

There is a fabulous link, a link, and a link dedicated...

I decided to write this bài viết because I have seen các câu hỏi being asked about unsubscribing from spots and I have dropped a few spots myself.
The only two reasons I will drop a spot is if the spot has little hoặc no content hoặc the topic isn't exactly a yêu thích of mine, even if I thought it would be.
I do admit that I feel like a real mean chó cái, bitch when I decide to leave a spot and I'm not here to redeem myself hoặc make excuses, but to help other những người hâm mộ who are in a similar situation as I am and also hopefully for some feedback, các bình luận and ideas.
Some of us tham gia spots because the person that created...

I hate chain letters in my e-mail box. I do not want to see them in my fanpop updates.

I remember a năm hoặc thêm ago, link got the mickey taken out of him bởi DrDevience and others for posting unoriginal chain letters and Rush Limbaugh transcripts as soapboxes. He acted accordingly and removed those articles, and though I think we came down a little unfairly on him, I agreed that chain letters should not be đã đăng as soapboxes, because they are not original work, which was the point of soapboxes in the first place.

You'll notice that, when bạn post a new article, there is a drop-box asking what...

Hello, seekers of good các câu trả lời to burning questions! It has come to my attention that an official guide to using the new các câu trả lời feature is necessary in order to prevent abuse of this fabulous new fun feature.

I stumbled across fanfly's câu hỏi about the link for this feature and answered the câu hỏi with a danh sách of five things I think are the most important to keep in mind. Urged bởi germany123 to make it into a soapbox, I present to bạn the Official Rules of the fanpop các câu trả lời Feature.

1) If bạn know the answer to the question, don't ask. This should be fairly clear already, but các câu trả lời are...

I am so sick of all the nastiness and sarcasm that goes on in Fanpop, through the forums, via người hâm mộ pick các câu hỏi and các bình luận left regarding hình ảnh etc.
And I'm sick of being so nice about it when there's only so much one person can take, I've almost left fanpop on a few occasions because of 'some' peoples attitudes here and I'm over it.
I have been on fanpop for almost a năm now and I'm not nasty to people, I get on here and do my thing and contribute as much as I can, but if I cop anymore shit hoặc see people being nasty to other people here I will báo cáo them and I'll name all of the 'nasties'...

I think that this bài viết belongs here in opposed to 'Fanpop Spots' because it is a fanpop Etiquette issue, as well as a spot hoặc club issue.
When bạn tham gia a spot it appears in your những thông tin cập nhập as one of your spots and so do the ones bạn create, I've heard some people say that a spot that bạn created 'isn't your spot' now I know that the spots belong to fanpop and I realize that 'most' of bạn would be very proud of your creations just as I am of mine.
However if bạn are the spot creator then 'in my opinion' the spot is yours to some degree, bạn create the spot, only bạn can change the banner, icon...

So I tried to think of a catchier title, but I figured I might as well just call it what it is. I have seen instances of (what I believe to be unintentional) heterosexism in several fanpop picks. As evidenced bởi link, however, some believe it to be intentional.

Now I'm not trying to whine about wording hoặc being politically correct. In fact, I'm not politically correct in the slightest, as anyone who knows me well enough will tell you. And this issue isn't really a big deal, I just wanted to make people aware of it and ask their opinions on it. So do bạn find these things odd?

The type of picks...
