Do bạn agree with these ideas of ways to get rid of the crappy stories on ff?

1. Fanfiction should have a little section for people to send their before-published stories to others to be approved. Not beta-reading––others just need to check to see that the story is in good quality and condition and is readable before clicking an 'approved' button at the bottom of the page. And this should be a must for every story published. There should even be a 'disapproved' button if the story is not in good condition. It's like the approver is the publisher. And even after the fanfic is published, others can approve the story too, maybe clicking a button. The amount of approves should hiển thị up at the place where statistics of amount of words and characters and the ngày published is.

There is a difference between approving, beta-reading, and reviewing.

2. In a writer's thông tin các nhân page, where it says 'My Stories' 'Favorite Stories' 'Favorite Authors' etc, there should also be 'My Notes'. Have bạn ever seen stories that just have stupid author's notes in them? Well, the 'My Notes' section is like a will be the place for all that, like a journal. bạn can write about maybe why bạn haven't updated stories, maybe about stories bạn aren't continuing anymore, maybe that bạn need a beta-reader, maybe about a new story idea bạn have, maybe that bạn just went to the bathroom, whatever! As long as it's not in the fandom fanfiction page, it's just in your profile.

Sorry if the above passages was confusing. But tell me what bạn think about these ideas, mmkay? And add your own, too.

I disagree with the first idea. FF.net is an archive, a place where bạn can first store your stories to share them.

Then bạn have a few guidelines about publishing. You'll always have some people to disregard these. No problem, as far as I'm concerned. If a story is badly written, I just leave it.

Who is going to judge one's stories ? On which criteria ? Besides, bạn have stories đã đăng in many languages - once again, who is going to judge them in their native languages ? That also means that one ngày hoặc so, some people will have to be paid to spend time to read and judge stories written bởi others (how would they be qualified to do that btw ?). Consequence : FF.net won't be free any more. Argh !

No, better let readers be the sole judges of that. They can leave reviews, flame down hoặc encourage, etc, as they deem best. Honestly, I leave a review when the story is worth the trouble. If it is poorly made, I just stop đọc it.

These ideas bạn exposed remind me of what is called "censorship". I don't like it for me, I don't like it for others. If censorship is applied to some people, then it can be applied to me too. (When I say "me", it means any tác giả actually.)

No, just leave it as such. Readers can leave reviews. Authors can check the traffic their stories generate. These elements (number of positive and negative reviews, traffic stats) are enough to give an idea to readers (through other people's reviews) and authors (through reviews and stats) about how successful hoặc not their stories are.

The một giây idea, about notes hoặc whatever, is something to be deepened. Though notes pertaining to a specific story can be added to it. Some authors post a small text to explain why they have stopped posting out of lack of inspiration hoặc if they had a temporary computer issue, hoặc no time, etc. The text đã đăng as such can be removed later (I already did that). Unfortunately, they don't do it that often.

Usually, stupid author's notes are matched with stupid stories. I've never read intelligent author's notes for a stupid story and vice-versa. so where's the issue ?

First Idea is not a really good one because bạn have always people who press disapprove just for fun and if a lot of people are eagerly waiting for an update, it would be very annoying to wait before it gets approved.
The một giây idea however does sound good. It is rather annoying if bạn get a reminder of a story that is updated and it is only an authors note.

i don't agree with the first idea, because even people who aren't the best writers whould be allowed to, as the slogan says, "unleash their imaginations and free their souls." and about the second, i guess it's a good idea but i don't mind the author's notes in the stories and i don't go to the thông tin các nhân pages too often.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to get rid of all the crappy fics on ff.net. The main reason for that is, I think, because there's a whole lot of first time writers on every fandom, and I don't any of us have the right to take away their privilege to publish. They will eventually improve, so, lets just hope they do. The tiếp theo biggest reason is, and the one that angers me soo much, that newcomers hoặc not, that some of the writers of crappy fics just absolutely refuses to listen to constructive criticism. All they want for reviews is for people to gush over how much they tình yêu the story. Seriously, after several failed attempts, I've stopped giving CC's to those types of fics entirely. What's the point if they won't listen to you? *shakes head*

As for the một giây option, like the person above me pointed out, there's so stupid Author's notes in good fics and there's no intelligent notes in the bad ones. Also, the problem with the notes are that many readers won't read them. The chances of readers đọc a very important announcement from the tác giả is higher if it's mentioned at the top/bottom of a fic rather than going to an entirely different page.

I agree with bạn about Point No. 2 - I have already told off some of my readers that had complained about this hoặc that in my stories, while they had been fully warned in the Author's Notes at the beginning of the story, not to mention the rating (I write mature, dark stuff).

As for your first point, so true. I leave a review if the story really deserves it (plot + grammar/spelling), had touched me a lot in many ways, for example. Which does not prevent me from giving Lời khuyên and encouragements. Otherwise, a poorly written story will have me leave it before I could even reach the "review button" at the bottom of the page.

Agreed. The thêm people reads our stories the better, but if they're going to complain about every little thing, I'd rather have them not read at all.

The một giây one I like. But the First one I don't I mean it seems rude to say. bạn can't đăng tải this

for being bad. The wonderful thing about fanfic. Is that EVERYONE can đăng tải there story. Rather

it's bad hoặc good. They is no one to stop it. Also do bạn think. People will click disapproved. Just for not liking the ship? hoặc the character it is about? hoặc just not liking the story?
