Part of me still thinks it might have worked, but he just returned to Fairytale Land instead because the well apparently returns things to it's "rightful place". Since all of the charcters truely belong in Fairytale land that would technically make it his "rightful place".

That's what I was thinking! I'm hoping he did return to the fairy tale land and than when everything is over he'll be there...waiting.

Also, call it a hunch but I think in the season finale there is going to be some sort of hint at that being the case. I mean, of all the episodes to bring the Huntsman back in I feel like there's going to a big moment for his character.

Indeed! I can't wait for the finale! I've missed seeing him!

I never even thought about it then, but NOW when I watch it it's all I think about. Even when reading the Abridged and it's so hysterical that it's hard to think of something else while reading it.
(The Abridged, by the way, is so funny. Just look up 'once upon a time abridged series livejournal' on Google, click on the be that says 'window for all episodes' and start reading the pilot and beyond. It's just so funny xD It's a total spoof of the show.)

I didn't think the well's magic would be strong enough to bring back people, particularly a dead person. They made it hard for magic to revive people for a reason - if you let magic revive easily and without a price, then no deaths have an impact, and the audience is no longer frightened for the characters, particularly if it's done as early as in season 1. Plus I knew already that Graham's death would be permanent.
