I watched her come out of the room where she spent the last week getting better. She walked over to where I stood, waiting to take her to her apartment. I thought about how much Bella had meant to me, how much she had changed me. I thought about how easy it was to forget her now that my existence finally had a true meaning. I remember how I used to think that Bella was the whole point of my existence, how she was what kept me alive, but I now knew that she was just to help me control myself for the only true tình yêu I could have. I saw through Sam's mind how Emily was his whole world. I knew that this was just as strong as their relationship, if it wasn't stronger. I gazed into her eyes and then walked with her through the hospital doors. For the first time I actually forgot about Bella. Even looking at this beautiful goddess, I couldn't believe I thought Bella and I were meant to be.

I watched Liz and Alice take off. What was I going to do with myself? Nothing it seemed. Life had no meaning when she was gone.
Cheer up, brother, she'll be back soon.
I glanced over at Jasper, he was smiling. He felt the same way about Alice as I felt about Liz.

I finished draining my mountain lion. I heard Carlisle talking to Alice, she sounded distressed. She saw the Volturi coming and all they would find is a house full of girls and one of them not Bella.
"Carlisle, we have to get back, now!"
All I could think about was Liz. He closed the phone and slid it into his pocket.
"Emmett, Jasper," he said, "time to go home."

I twisted around to face my persuer. Of course his beauty and pale skin was a dead give away that he was a vampire, but his eyes totally creeped me out. Instead of gold, they were crimson.

I opened my eyes, feeling the sun on them. I looked around grogily. That was a terrible dream.
