Doctor Who Article: My Unpopular New Who Opinions

These are my "unpopular opinions" (idea credited to Trailer vịt đực, drake on YouTube) about Doctor Who 2005. Now, these might be controversial so PLEASE be respectful in the comments!

Michelle Gomez is a FAR better Master than John Simm. Simm was fine, but he was too over the hàng đầu, đầu trang for me to properly enjoy.

The Weeping thiên thần are not that scary. They’re creepy, sometimes startling as well as being creative monsters and I’m glad they exist but they aren’t terrifying to me as they are to a lot of other people.

Going with the above, the Midnight Entity is THE scariest thing from New Who! Why? Well, we know tiếp theo to nothing about it, it uses psychological horror instead of jumpscares and I just thought that it was really memorable.

I didn’t like the Twelfth Doctor at first. It wasn’t because of his stories but because of his personality. I mean, letting people die (Into the Dalek), being an arrogant ass, being really rude and inconsiderate tổng thể and mostly, how unfair he treated Danny just REALLY threw me off of his character, at least until Series 9!

Clara Oswald was a great character, as was River Song. I don’t think they’re too perfect hoặc boring at all!

Steven Moffat is a great writer. He isn’t perfect and generally speaking, his stories during RTD’s era were better, but I don’t think he’s a “horrible showrunner” hoặc that he “ruined” Doctor Who at all!

Seb and Dr. Chang are totally underrated as characters.

Love and Monsters, Hell Bent, Sleep No More, Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks, Fear Her, Khủng long on a Spaceship and Robot of Sherwood, while not perfect, were very enjoyable episodes!

To be perfectly honest... I’m a little annoyed bởi the implication that Clara đã đưa ý kiến “I tình yêu you” to Twelve in the Cloisters during Hell Bent. I mean, she promised Danny she would never say those words to anyone else ever again! Promised him! I mean, I ship Whouffaldi just as much as the tiếp theo person, but seriously?! A promise is a promise!

Danny màu hồng, hồng and his relationship with Clara during Series 8 were both great. Danny brought a sense of “normalcy” to the hiển thị and to Clara. It obviously wasn’t perfect but I thought that Moffat really pulled it off! Yes, bạn heard that right.

The Cybermen are very boring as villains.

simpleplan I agree with Midnight Entity is THE scariest thing from New Who, Weeping Angels are not that scary, I also loved Clara and River. This was a good article and I thank you for sharing your option x3

TwilightTrekker I didn't like the 12th doctor either. Then I binged watched all of the episodes with 12 in them again and I finally understood. He comes to and he has had a great number of youthful regenerations and suddenly he is older. He doesn't feel older but everyone around him that used to hug him and love him are treating him differently acting like they do not know him. It is, in a sense what every senior citizen goes through. My grandmother told me that in her mind she thinks of herself like when she was 19 but everyone who looks at her treats her like she is ancient. They don't want to take the time to find out who she really is, what she thinks about and what she has to offer as a person. I thought that was really sad because I was 19 and that is how I treated older people. I think that I fell in love with the 12th doctor at the moment I realized what he was trying to say without saying anything. He was lonely and alone and not happy.

ktichenor I agree about the weeping angels. I mean I think they look scary and this is just a crazy thought but when you look at what happened to Amy and Rory afterwards, I mean she became an author, they stayed together and were happy. I get the impression sometimes that they simply send people to another time and then they just live the rest of their lives there even getting married and having kids so it does kind of make me wonder if their really that scary at all.

R4551L0N I agree with you about the Midnight Entity. (However if the spinoffs are included as part of NuWho, which I personally include them but whether you do is entirely your decision, then the 456 has got to be the most terrifying thing out there.)
