Evan was working on some files when the door opened and Daniel stormed in. He held a newspaper in his hand and walked towards Evan’s desk, where he put the paper down. Daniel didn’t have to explain what had gotten into him. The front page spoke for itself.
‘Elder couple found dead’
Evan browsed through the pages until he found the article. Daniel drummed with his fingers on his thy, impatiently waiting for Evan to finish. After a few phút Evan closed the paper and leaned backwards. He went with his fingers through his hair, not sure what to do now.

Evan rubbed his eyes tired. Daniel was right. Of course he now understood why Erin had wanted him to leave her alone with her parents. So she could kill them and then get away.
“I really thought she was innocent. That everyone else was wrong” he sighed disappointed.
