FYI: Just because the series is about cats, DOESN'T mean it's kiddie!

"YOU ARE FIRE, AND bạn WILL BLAZE THROUGH THE FOREST..." Bluestar--leader of ThunderClan--has been prophesied to guide her Clan to power in a time of great turmoil. But closely guarded secrets form the past haunt her every paw step, and dark shadows whisper in her ears. Will she protect her Clan? hoặc collapse under the weight of her desiny?

A selection from the book:

...Bluefur pushed herself onto her haunches and leaned against Oakheart, enjoying the smoothness of his pelt and the firmness of his muscles beneath. He still smelled a bit fishy, but his scent was overlaid with the tang of pines.
Oakheart sighed. "I've waited so many moons for this." He twisted his head and looked down into her eyes. "For you."
Bluefur dropped her gaze to her paws, sudenly feeling very self-conscious. Oakheart nuzzled her as she looked up at him.
"Every cat in my Clan's been telling me to get a mate," he murmured. "But I want no other mate but you."
"I know what bạn mean," Bluefur mewed. "Larksong told me I should pair off with..." She stopped, seeing hurt spark his gaze.
Oakheart leaned away. "Is there another cat who..."
"No," Bluefur mewed quickly. "Only..."
"Only what?"
"I've been raising Snowfur's kit. I haven't had time to think about mates."
"You've done a wonderful job. Your sister would be proud of you. But Whitestorm's a warrior now."
Oakheart pointed out. "You've got to live your own life."
"Maybe," Bluefur whispered. "But this can never happen."
"What?"
"Us."
"Why?" Hurt cracked Oakheart's mew.
Bluefur couldn't believe ir wasn't obvios. "We're from different Clans!" *And I have a destiny that doesn't leave room for a mate.*
Pain twisted her heart. She tried to push it away but it hung there like grief, cold and heavy. She pressed closer to Oakheart, and his warmth eased her sadness.
"If we carry on meeting like this," she murmured, "we'll end up bein hurt."
"The only thing that can hurt me," he breathed, "is being apart from you."...

How's that? I highly recommend this book.

Daniel Goleman, 2006, 334 pages

Goleman in his groundbreaking book reveals that neural linkages between humans influence the brain and the body. These invisible bridges give us the ability to change people's moods, emotions, and health - as these people can do to us. Relationships not only shape emotional states and general psychological experience, but also the very physiological matter that makes our body. Our interactions with people influences our immune system, circulation, hormones, and breathing for example.

Social Intelligence expands from the one-person psychology within an individual...

Tantalize (Cynthia Leitich Smith) was an awsome book. I really enjoyed it. It had me guessing what was going to happen until the very end!

Here is a piece about the book:

Quincie Morris has never felt thêm alone. Her hybrid werewolf first tình yêu threatens to embark on a rite of passage that will separate them forever. And just as she and her uncle are about to unveil Austin's red-hot vampire-themed restaurant, a brutal murder leaves them scrambling for a chef. Can Quincie transform the new hire, Henry Johnson, into a culinary Dark Lord before opening night? Will he be able to to wow the crowd in fake fangs, a cheap cape, and red contact lenses? hoặc is there thêm to his earnest fresh face than meets the eye?

As human and preternatural forces clash a deadly tình yêu tam giác forms and the line between predator and prey begins to blur. Who's playing whom? And how long can Quincie play along before she loses everything?

"I still get nightmares," begins Johnny Truant, editor of House of Leaves ("House," bởi the way, always colored in blue). He goes on to explain how he stumbled upon the fateful document that would consume him. Since everyone was so positive about my last article, I decided to make it a series of sorts. Different themes, maybe one bài viết a month. I am 23 and I still tình yêu all of the following books. People can enjoy them at any age, but these are especially great ones for kids and teens. There were so many to choose from, so I apologize that I had to leave out so many of my favorites. Let's all recapture youth! As always, these are in no particular order.

1. The Neverending Story bởi Michael Ende
This is one of the few fantaisie novels that isn't an entire series. Not to offend anyone, but I do not like...
