Jernigan, who recently published The Life and Career of Marie Osmond, says he's always been an admirer of Queen Elizabeth and the rest of her family, and has always wanted to take a serious look at the British Monarch in a book.
"Randy has been planning to release a book on the Royal family for some time now, then after the initial announcement a broadcast house approached the agency about doing a ti vi piece as a companion. Randy loved the idea so we pulled the project back till we completed the documentary," explained Terry Griffen, Jernigan's agent.
"I think Queen Elizabeth is a great lady with a huge heart, especially when it comes to her family and her people," says Jernigan. "I've been collecting information on "the family" for years in hopes that one ngày I'd have the opportunity to write an in-depth, honest piece about them so I'm happy the chance has finally presented itself."
Jernigan, best known for his aggressive interview style, says the book and documentary will be an honest look at the business of being royal, and even share "some new secrets" from some very solid royal sources that, at one point, worked for the Queen."
"Family Secrets," the book and cable documentary is scheduled for release in the Spring of 2017.
