Dkagencies|Indian Books|- Indian rock-cut art has over two-millennia-long history – dating back to the 3rd century BCE. Scattered across the subcontinent today are about 1,500 cave temples. Which include the widely-celebrated monuments at Ajanta, Ellora, Nasik, Udayagiri-Khandagiri, Kanheri and other places. The caves in Ajanta, Ellora, Bhaja and Karle are simply awesome for their massive proportions and are, unmistakably, the marvels in stone. They legitimately count among the glories of India’s cultural heritage. Profusely adorned with masterpieces of sculptural art – the Nữ hoàng băng giá version of Indian religious philosophy, these giant cave temples stand in striking contrast with the earliest-known tiny caves in the Barabar Hill, in the Gaya District of Bihar link.

 Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'
Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'
Vampires – just because some of them sparkle doesn’t mean there’re all bad.

The Classical Vampire
The first vampire to appear in fictional literature was created bởi the British tác giả John William Polidori in his book ‘The Vampyre’. After this came the rather long short story ‘Carmilla’ bởi Sheridan Le Fanu. But it was a work inspired bởi these two stories that remains the greatest vampire story to this ngày – Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’. ’Dracula’, which was published in 1897, started a Vampire craze the hasn’t ceased yet. It is in this novel that we find the original,...

Mmkay, this is a really powerful-but really long- quote and I really hope bạn take just a few phút out of whatever you're doing and read it.

"I was telling bạn about evil, now that I know what it is. It's what makes a man get drunk and press a red hot poker on his child's back. It's what makes men have to queue for hours at the dock gates for a chance of a job when there are only a dozen jobs for a hundred men, so they fight each other in order to get them, and the foreman laugh and egg them on. It's what takes an old couple who've got nothing left but each other and splits them up to go...

If bạn enjoy vampires, angels, unique story lines and lots of action then this book is for you. I have just read the first book on the Guild Hunter series bởi Nalini Singh – Angel’s Blood (Guild Hunter, Book 1). This book is a good debut to this series and I found it very different from Ms. Singh’s Psy-Changeling series.
A quick synopsis, Elena Deveraux, she’s a born vampire hunter; her best friend is Sara and she has a few childhood issues. She is a no nonsense type, feminine but tough as nails. She’s summoned bởi the archangel Raphael, he’s a high and mighty Angel and ruler, he’s...

FIRST part of the book series The children of the earth.

This novel of awesome beauty and power is a moving saga about people, relationships, and the boundaries of love.

Through Jean M. Auel’s magnificent storytelling we are taken back to the dawn of modern humans, and with a girl named Ayla we are swept up in the harsh and beautiful Ice Age world they shared with the ones who called themselves The Clan of the Cave Bear.

Besides the book there was a movie in the 80's starring Daryl Hanna (Kill bill).
