I too saw the movie first and then read the book.
Usually, the book is always better than the movie, hoặc vice versa. It is very unusual for a book and a movie to be equally enjoyable. The Princess Bride makes a rare exception.
The book is just as great as the movie, and it has thêm stuff in it than the movie does. (There is a whole chapter on Inigo and Fezzick getting to the pit of despair which is quite intense and entertaining. Unlike in the movie, where they just walk through the cây and BOOM! They're there.)
Read the Princess Bride.

I think the book and the movie are equally great, so bạn definitely won't be wasting your time if bạn read it! I had to read the book for 10th grade English and it ended up being one of my yêu thích sách ever =] [As well as the movie becoming a yêu thích too!]
