The Archie comics, to me, have stuck the closest to Blaze's personality and portrayal in the Sonic Rush, although Archie Blaze seems a tad more aggressive and on edge. I approve of this greatly. However, from what I have seen and heard about Blaze's appearances in Archie, it seems like she is constantly getting knocked out, beat, or kidnapped. It's obvious why they do this; to keep Blaze from seeming too powerful or idealized, because no one is invincible. It's happening too much, however, especially in light of much weaker characters not having the same problems. In fact, speaking of other characters, Amy, in both her appearances alongside Blaze, has been treated much better. This comes off to me as a way of expressing that Amy is not useless and weak, in an attempt to redeem her in the eyes of fans, by having her steal the spotlight in front of a much more appreciated and revered character. But Archie are attempting to redeem that which is nearly irredeemable, and Blaze has had the spotlight stolen from her in two key cases where she should have been center stage; Treasure Team Tango and Pirate Plunder Panic, the latter of which was especially notable for being Burning Blaze's first appearance in the comics, yet the scene in which she appeared was arguably Blaze's lone moment of true, shining glory across the entire arc; the rest of which was centered around Blaze being kidnapped and Amy and her band of much weaker characters coming to the rescue. This insult to Blaze is unforgivable in my eyes.
