They haven't straight-up told me I'm not, but sometimes it's unclear whether or not they know I wasn't joking.

I'm kind of okay with it though. Makes it so much easier to come out to people. I'll just tell them the truth, and let them make of that what they will.

^ Oh, I sometimes to do that as well. I jokingly say that I'm not attracted to anyone and just leave it there.

But yeah, I tried to come out to a bunch of close friends (in a serious tone, that is) and I've been told that I'm "totally not asexual" and that I'm "just imagining things". It's very demeaning and offensive, which is why I've resorted to the coming out via jokes.
