Chapter 1: Baudelaire High School
It's already the last ngày of the sports festival at the well-known Baudelaire High School and still, almost half of the student population is gathered around the bóng đá field. They are watching the final game of the school’s bóng đá club.
The score is currently in favor of Team A, a merge of all the players from all section As in the high school department. They are battling against Team D, and it’s actually a merge of all players from all the section Ds.
The sectioning in this school is randomized, and is strongly not based on academic grades. So if one is from section A, it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s all that intelligent.
The game is closing and the crowd is chanting, yelling and cheering for the team they desire to win, and the results got quite obvious. Team A is winning, yet the ball is currently handled bởi their very own ngôi sao player.
“Goal!!! Team A wins!!!” the commentator announces gleefully.
It was actually the sound of defeat for Team D as Team A wins the championship. With this, Team A gets thêm cheers from the crowd.
“They’re quite helpless. Team A’s really strong,” says one from the crowd.
The winning team celebrates their victory carrying up the player who made all their goals.
“We’re unfortunate. They got Nyle with them,” says one from the losing team.
Meanwhile on the crowd, there sits a guy who was only half watching the bóng đá game. He seems to be quite uninterested hoặc maybe just a little bored.
“So that’s Nyle, huh? He sure made their team win,” he says.
“Sure he did, Bro! He even got his own người hâm mộ club!”
“I see. Well then, I better be going,” he says as he stands up.
“Wait, R. You’re going?” he also stands up.
“The game ended anyway. And the results quite obvious from the start. Even if D’s good, A’s better.”
“Really? But you’re from D. bạn must have played with them,” he says, teasing him.
“No good. I’m in the Student Council,” he says as he leaves, and the guy follows him.
The Student Council is the one handling all the student activities in every school, and during the sports festival, they are busy. R is one of them, that’s why he’s not free to participate in the games.
Immediately after, two of the student council members arrive on the same spot.
“Darn! I know I’ve seen him here!” she complains.
“Hey, excuse me,” she asks the other students from the crowd.
“Have bạn seen Rheo here? Do bạn know where he went?”
“Rheo? bạn mean R? He was here and he left just a moment ago,” one answers.
“I saw him went that way,” the other continues while pointing a direction.
“I see. Thanks a lot.” The two of them leaves right away.
Meanwhile …
“Where do bạn plan to go?”
“About anywhere, as long as the council doesn’t find me,” R replies.
“What is this? You’re actually hiding from them?”
“Yeah. If they find me, they’re gonna ask me to do lots of things. The council’s currently lacking members that’s why my workload got heavier since before the sports festival,” he lazily muttered.
Baudelaire High School is actually named after the “goddess” named Baudelaire from the early times. She’s not exactly a goddess but since she possesses supreme magic powers she was considered one. Nobody knows if this Baudelaire actually existed, either way, she became an ancient heroine. She is đã đưa ý kiến to have ceased the wars between powerful nations from the past.
Later on, R goes straight to his locker to check for a mail. The locker cabinet actually got a mini chamber for letters hoặc mails, and the one R got seems to be loaded.
“Bro, that sure is stuffed. Since when was the last time bạn checked for your mails, R?” he says, spotting the mail box.
“No idea. And I don’t normally check for my mails. Maybe those are just another người hâm mộ letters. I’m not really đọc them.”
He opened it and the stack of mails fell. The other guy picks one up and looks at it.
“Isn’t this a tình yêu letter? There’s no sender written here.”
“Just as I thought.” He sighs and looks for a certain mail.
Another locker tiếp theo to them is opened, and incidentally with the same amount of mails in it. The letter chamber door opens along and the piles fall, and he tries to pick them up.
“My bad,” he says.
R saw it and tries to help the guy. He looks at him and he seems to be familiar. He is currently wearing a bóng đá jersey and with his long hair tied up.
“Hey … aren’t bạn …?” R asks while staring at him.
