Has anyone ever wondered about how closely related Rozen Maiden and Konjiki no Gash chuông, bell are?

Rozen Maiden's about búp bê trying to become (pretty much) the fairest of them all and Gash chuông, bell is about little people named mamodos who try to become the King. Anyone else think they're similar?
