What would bạn do when someone criticize bạn about watching anime hoặc đọc manga?

If I recall "friends" DO NOT criticize what their Những người bạn watch,friends are supposed to support bạn through good hoặc bad,but they absolutely should not criticize what bạn watch! Real Những người bạn respect their friends' personal interests and they do not make fun of them.How I would handle this is I would tell them "anime is made for people of ALL ages (well it is!),and real Những người bạn WOULD NOT criticize me based on one little difference,AND just because bạn guys don't like it,doesn't mean bạn should make me stop watching and liking it!" and as I đã đưa ý kiến before Những người bạn shouldn't criticize bạn because of one difference! Những người bạn RESPECT bạn FOR YOU,real Những người bạn don't ask bạn to change just because bạn like certain things they don't! hopefully I helped in some way!^^

My answer would vary depending on what the friend/stranger would say. For example...

Or...

friend/stranger: Whatcha doin'?
me: watchin anime...
friend/stranger: whhyyy?? its kinda lame...
me: OHMIGAWD. GET OUTA MY SIGHT bạn WHORE. You're lame. D<

Okay, so maybe it wont really change all that much...

bạn have every right to enjoy things that make bạn happy. If these people were your Những người bạn then they would want bạn to do these things. bởi saying this is childish then really they do not understand all there is to know about anime. There are childish anime but there are also very thrilling adult oriented categories. I am twenty five female and tình yêu anime and manga. I respect it's field as an artist as well as a story writer. Just like with anything though bạn have good and bad things. If I was brought up with this accusation, which I have been before, I just turn to the person and say "well this makes me happy do bạn not want me to be happy?" That always seems to dumb found people. They don't have to see your way hoặc anything but really they should respect your decisions and be good friends.

I say bạn can thik what bạn want and say what bạn want but it's your opinion, but this is my life I can watch what ever I want and bạn can't change that.

I'm a girl, so girls criticize me for đọc too much violent/shonen manga. Guys criticize me for đọc whatever manga they don't like. So here's how it goes:

Girl classmate: Hey, are bạn đọc Bleach again?
Me: Yeah
Girl: bạn know, that's really violent. I guess bạn really are a guy after all. (Stays away from me)

Guy classmate: Hey, what are bạn reading?
Me: Bleach
Guy: Lame! That was so last 2 months!!

So yeah...

I'M 22 yrs old, will turn 23 in a month's time...
i started watching anime "unknowingly" at the age of 5... it was Captain Tsubasa dubbed in Arabic. lol! i didn't understand it, but i loved watching it. i reconnected with anime at the age of 11, started watching Rurouni Kenshin, dubbed in English. then at the age of 14, I KNEW that what i had grown up watching and loved for so long was ANIME.
i've been watching ever since.
people didn't understand my obsession with it. why i watched, why i NEEDED to watch. and for a long time, i tried to explain it to them. i tried to get some of my Những người bạn to watch too. Because EXPLAINING it was not sufficient, they would have to SEE FOR THEMSELVES and make up their minds.

that's just the thing. some people will TRY to understand, but fail. If they tình yêu you, they'll just try to respect that bạn like something that they don't.
Some people won't understand, EVER, and they'll give bạn a hard time. bạn gotta just roll with the punches in that scenario. It doesn't matter what anyone else says, hoặc thinks. What matters is, DO bạn LIKE WATCHING ANIME? IS IT IMPORTANT TO YOU? it shouldn't matter if others get it hoặc not. If bạn like it, and bạn enjoy it, the rest is just irrelevant. :)
