Lorenzo, has been much in demand by fans, animators and students as it is a tour-de-force of great character animation. It hasn\'t been available anywhere on home video - until a week from Tuesday.
On Tuesday August 18th, Walt Disney Animation Studios Short Films Collection will be available on DVD, blu-ray and Digital HD. The collection includes twelve incredible shorts produced over the last 15 years, among them the Oscar winners Paperman (2012) and Feast (2014), a personal favorite of our puppy, Romy. The classic characters haven\'t been forgotten - the Mickey Mouse homage Get A Horse (2013) and the hilarious Goofy cartoon How To Hook Up Your Home Theatre (2007) are also included.
And yes - there is bonus material - in fact, each of the 12 short films on the disc are introduced by members of their Disney Animation teams, providing creative insights, humorous stories and inside-the-studio facts. Some of these you may not have seen yet, as they had limited releases, including John Henry, The Little Match Girl, Tick-Tock Tale, Tangled Ever After, Frozen Fever, The Ballad of Nessie, and Prep & Landing: Operation: Secret Santa (featuring the voice of Betty White).
Here is a exclusive sneak peek at Mike Gabriel’s intro to his Oscar-nominated “Lorenzo” short—how the film sprang from the mind of Disney Legend Joe Grant and how Mike chose the tango for the soundtrack.
