If someone wouldn't mind đọc and commenting, I'm kind of in need of feedback. Thanks in advance.

"Evangeline! It's time to get up!" Mom called from the hallway. I grumbled and pulled the blanket over my head. Just five thêm minutes... five thêm hours would be nice...

"Evan," my older brother Joshua poked his head into my room. "Didn't bạn hear Mom? bạn need to get up." I growled at him.

"Get out," I squeezed my eyes shut tighter.

"Why don't bạn try and make me?" he taunted. I grabbed my cái gối, gối and flung it across the room at him. He laughed and ran out of the room. Not having anything to rest my head on now, I got out of giường and got dressed. I got downstairs just before Mom was about to explode again.

"Why must bạn stay up so late?" Mom complained. "Maybe if bạn didn't, it'd be easier to get up in the morning." I grabbed an táo, apple out of the basket on the island and shrugged.

"Sorry, Mom. I'm a teenager."

"So that means bạn make stupid decisions?" Joshua asked, already to go to school, with twenty phút to spare. I narrowed my eyebrows at him.

"What about you?" I questioned.

"I'm turning eighteen in less than two months. I'm basically an adult now," he countered. I rolled my eyes at him at sat at the table. My twelve năm old sister, Sophia, smiled at me from across the table.

"What's he going on about now?" she signed to me. I gave her an exasperated look.

"Same old, same old," I signed back to her, mouthing the words. "He thinks he's such a big shot." Sophia rolled her eyes and nodded.

"I saw that," Joshua stated. He went to the living room. I flipped him off as his back was turned. Sophia laughed. "Y'know you're gonna be late, Evan, if bạn don't hurry up." I stuck my tongue out at him, then quickly ran upstairs to brush my teeth and hair. I had about two phút left bởi the time I was putting on my socks and shoes. "Evan! Hurry up!" Joshua called from downstairs. "Or else I'm leaving without you!" I gave up on tying my shoes, grabbed my bag, and ran down the stairs. I got to Joshua's car just before he was about to ditch me."You know, tiếp theo năm you're not going to have me to drive bạn to school. You'll have to take the bus, which as bạn know, comes a half giờ earlier."

"Oh, please, you'll still give me rides.. It's not like you'll have anything better to do."

"Um, college?" he reminded me. "Remember? I'm not gonna be home." I bit my tongue, but tried to appear unemotional on the outside.

"You really think Bailey's okay with bạn leaving?" I asked. "She's the best thing that ever happened to you, and you're just gonna leave her?"

"I'm not leaving her," Joshua snapped. "We talked about this... I'm going out of state for just a couple years... We'll visit each other. Then once I graduate, I'll come back and we'll be together." I folded my arms and stared out the window.

"Sure."

I ditched Joshua at his car once we got to school and headed to my locker. There, I met up with Brynn and Camden. Brynn was leaning against the locker tiếp theo to mine, a nearly dead look on her face.

"What's your problem?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Wait for it..." she muttered.

"Evan!" Samara's voice shrieked from down the hall.

"Brace yourself," Brynn grumbled under her breath. Samara slammed into me; I nearly fell into my locker. Her attack soon turned into a hug as she excitedly jumped up and down, squealing with joy.

"OhmyGod! Guess what?!" she trilled.

"What?" I asked, a little worried.

"I got my license!" she shouted.

"Oh really, that's so cool!" I grinned. I looked back at Brynn. "So what's your problem?"

"Try having to listen to her go on and on about it the whole ride to school..." she sighed. Samara rolled her eyes, unphased bởi Brynn's đắng, cay đắng response.

"Oh, she gave bạn a ride to school?" I asked. Brynn nodded, and pretended to twirl a small flag.

"Yay me..."

"Yeah, I would've picked bạn up too, Evan, but bạn kinda live out of the way, and I know Joshua gives bạn a ride---"

"It's okay," I nodded. Something about Brynn's morbid attitude told me I would've not wanted to deal with Samara's perkiness this morning. Usually Brynn's not like this until after her math class.

"So, how about we go somewhere fun tonight?" Camden suggested. "Now that Samara's got her license, we can go have some fun!"

"Don't bạn need an adult with bạn for the first year?" I asked. Samara rolled her eyes.

"Oh please, Evan. No one follows that rule. Besides, I'm a great driver! Right, Brynn?"

"No comment," Brynn replied.

"I guess that sounds like fun," I shrugged.

"Yeah! We can go downtown and see a movie, hoặc something!" Camden decided. We all nodded in agreement. The warning chuông, bell rang. I turned to head to class, when someone ran over my foot.

"Ow! Dammit!" I jumped out of the way too late. It was Destery, the school loser and nerd. He's in a wheelchair, which isn't the reason I hate him. He's just so damn annoying when he runs your đít, mông, ass over.

"Sorry!" he called. "I'm gonna be late!" He rolled down the hallway, barreling through other kids' paths. I clenched and unclenched my toes inside my converse. Damn, that hurt!

"You okay?" Samara asked. "That kid needs to watch where he's going."

"What that kid needs to get a life," Brynn shook her head. "God, he's such a nerd! He's always correcting Mr. Thorsen in History, like he lived it hoặc something. He's so damn annoying. Maybe if he put down the frickin' encyclopedia and made some friends--"

"But who would want to be Những người bạn with him?" Samara reminded her.

"True," Brynn shrugged.

"Come on," Camden smiled. "We're gonna be late." We all left and went our separate ways to class.

***

I sat on the mui xe of Joshua's car, grumbling impatiently. School had gotten out almost ten phút ago, and yet he still hadn't shown up. If I'd known he was going to take this long, I would've just gotten a ride with Samara and Brynn. Finally, after what seemed like forever, he showed up.

"Okay, you're always giving me crap about being late to stuff," I called out to him as he got closer. "Yet look at you. What the hell took bạn so long?" He unlocked the thân cây and threw in his backpack, then headed back to the driver's door.

"I was working in the tutoring center fourth block. Miranda needed my help... And get off the car," he sighed, exasperated. I hopped off the mui xe and got into the passenger's side. "Any plans for tonight?" Joshua asked casually. "Like studying for your math test?" I glared at him. My algebra teacher, Mrs. Waller, also teaches his AP Calculus class. He's such a nerd and always has to try and keep tabs on me when he can.

"I studied during lunch," I lied. "I'm fine. I'm going out with my Những người bạn tonight, which bạn should start doing more."

"I'm going to be graduating this year, Evan. I need to keep my grades up." Please. He's a freaking genius. Joshua sighed. "So what're bạn guys doing tonight?"

"We're going downtown to see a movie," I replied. "Samara got her license."

"Oh, that's cool. One of her parents is going to be there, right?"

"Yeah...?" I tried to play it cool. "Isn't that the law?" He smiled and nodded.

"Just checkin', sis."

When I got home, instead of doing my homework, I threw my bag into my room. I'm sure I'll have enough time tomorrow to do it. If not... Oh well. I collapsed onto my bed, deciding to take a little nap. Before I could doze off, though, I heard Sophia come in. She frowned at me and sat in the hạt đậu, đậu bag chair in the corner of my room. I rolled onto my side.

"How was school?" I signed.

"It sucked! I hated it!" she signed back. "Why did Mom and Dad have to put me in public school? I want to go back to my old school!"

"They want bạn to be able to have thêm friends. And it's only been a few months."

"I know! But the other kids still make fun of me! They don't know I can read lips." I sat up in bed, and patted the ghế, chỗ ngồi tiếp theo to me. She got up and sat there.

"Just don't listen to them," I signed to her. She raised an eyebrow at me like, Really? I rolled my eyes. "You know what I mean." At least that got her to smile. "You're way mát, máy làm mát than any of the other kids. They just want to make bạn feel bad. Don't worry, someone will notice how special and sweet bạn are, and they'll want to be Những người bạn with you. Because bạn are awesome." I tapped her heart.

"Thanks, Evan," she signed. She had a sheepish smile across her face.

"Anytime." She stood up and hugged me, then left. A few phút later, I could feel the âm bass, tiếng bass, bass from her room shaking the floor. Mom and Dad had her room sound-proofed so she could play her âm nhạc as loud as she wanted. I couldn't hear it, but I could still feel it slightly. She likes being able to feel the music. Her taste is a bit much for me.

We didn't end up eating till almost 7, when Samara was supposed to pick me up. I quickly gulped down my food.

"Geez, slow down, Evangeline!" Mom scolded me. "You're going to make yourself sick!"

"In a hurry somewhere?" Dad asked.

"I'm going out tonight," I replied."We're going to the movies."

"Samara got her license," Joshua added. I clenched my fork. Somehow I wasn't sure how this would go over with Mom and Dad.

"Good for her," Dad grinned. "There's going to be an adult there though, right?"

"Yes," I đã đưa ý kiến uneasily. Thankfully, Mom and Dad didn't notice. My cellphone buzzed. It was from Brynn: Hurry up! "I gotta go," I đã đưa ý kiến quickly. I put my dishes in the sink, grabbed my jacket, and ran out the front door.

"Be safe!" I could barely hear Mom call after me.

I got into the backseat with Brynn, with Camden in the front ghế, chỗ ngồi tiếp theo to Samara. Samara turned around and grinned at me.

"Ready? This is going to be so much fun!" she squealed. She carefully pulled away from the curb then zoomed down the street.

"Samara, be careful!" I warned. "My parents think your parents are with us! That's gonna be hard to believe if bạn destroy the neighborhood!"

"Oh, relax, Evan! I'm a great driver!" Samara rolled her eyes at me in the rearview mirror. I sighed and leaned back in my seat.

"Hey, maybe we could go pick up some guys," Brynn laughed.

"Gee, what am I?" Camden remarked.

"Like maybe Mason?" She eyed me, a devilish grin on her face. I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up. I don't like him anymore." I looked out the window, so she wouldn't see my cheeks turn pink. It was true though. I didn't like him anymore... At least not as much as I used to. Brynn laughed, but fortunately dropped the subject. We drove for about twenty minutes, getting closer to the edge of town. Just as we were about to pull onto the highway, Samara slammed on the brakes. My hands shot out in front of me, bracing myself. Brynn, however, had fallen asleep, and collided with the front seat. She fell back in her seat, now fully awake.

"What the fuck, man!" she screamed. "What the hell was that?!" We watched as the man on the motorcycle sped away, thankfully unharmed.

"Geez! Didn't he see us?" Camden retorted. We looked to Samara, who looked like she'd just seen a ghost. "Samara. bạn okay?"

"...Yeah," she shook herself awake. She carefully pulled out onto the highway. Brynn rolled her eyes and tried to go back to sleep. Camden looked back at me and laughed.

"Damn, that was close," he chuckled.

"Shut up, Camden," Samara griped. "Ugh, I hate driving on the highway... People are such dumbasses." We drove on the highway, carefully, for about a half hour, until we got into downtown. We drove around the parking lot of the movie theatre for a while, until we found a spot. Samara ran over the curb as she pulled into the spot, but it didn't do any damage. Brynn clapped her hands.

"Brilliant," she đã đưa ý kiến darkly. "Excellent job, Samara." Samara sighed and pulled off the curb.

"Shut up," she grumbled. "I bet I drive better than you!"

"I never đã đưa ý kiến bạn didn't," Brynn shrugged. "Why do bạn think I don't have my license?" We all got out and headed inside. Tonight's showing: The Woman In Black.

***

After the movie was over, we all ran out back to Samara's car. I got into the passenger seat, while Camden took my seat.

"That was awesome!" Camden hollered. "It was so scary!"

"No it wasn't," Brynn disagreed incredulously. We ignored her. Samara backed out of the parking spot. "Careful, careful, careful, careful," Brynn repeated over and over in a monotone. "Samara! Watch out for that child!" Samara stopped to turn around and glare at her.

"Brynn! Shut up!" she shouted at her. "You're making me nervous!" Brynn grinned.

"This was fun," Camden said. "Next time we should go into the city hoặc something." I un-clicked my seat-belt to turn around to talk to him. The whole night was lit up with neon signs, and probably thousands of other cars' headlights. We smoothly pulled out onto the highway, backed up in traffic.

"Ugh, we're never gonna get home!" Samara grumbled. As we came to an intersection, we waited for our chance to go. We watched as car after car passed us, leaving us no chance to turn onto the main road. Cars behind us started honking. Brynn flipped them off through the rear window. I leaned my cheek against the head rest of my ghế, chỗ ngồi and shook my head at Camden. This was going to take forever...

"Samara, can't bạn just go?" Camden asked impatiently. "People are starting to get real pissed off. Samara gripped the wheel, looking almost sick.

"I'm trying!" she đã đưa ý kiến through her teeth. "They're not letting me through!" Finally there was a break in the cars speeding past us.

"Just go!" Brynn shouted anxiously. Samara floored it on the gas and pulled out.

"Samara! Watch out!" Camden screamed. I looked out my window as a blinding light made me freeze. I didn't even have time to scream. The sound of the impact was deafening. The crunching metal and shattering glass pierced my eardrums. I felt the car flip over, and over, and over. The small fragments of glass licked tiny cuts all over me. I couldn't see anything. I felt the wind flying past me, and I knew I was no longer in the car. My body slammed onto the cold, wet pavement, and slide across. My first thought was get out of the road! But I couldn't move. I could taste blood in my mouth. I laid there, sore and motionless on the road, as the beat up, metal scrap of what was left of the car barreled towards me.

I closed my eyes.

One of my songs I wrote.

Luv is stronger than a whole red brick wall
Luv is stranger than a bird 9000 feet tall
When bạn compare a object with love
You'll see it will never fit on like a glove
With tình yêu you'll see big consequences
But you'll never ever finish your sentence
tình yêu is really just too much stress for some
I think their crazy why look so glum
People just don't believe in love
But they always have to push everyone and shove
tình yêu is wrong
tình yêu is not
tình yêu is right
tình yêu is tight
tình yêu is strange
tình yêu can change
In a range
That's why I'm hát this song

Dear Sam,
You wouldn't believe what it is like in the big city. I am so glad I got this job offer. If it wasn't for your persuasion skills, I would be stuck grieving over you.

When I got to the theatre, my first job was to ask the actors if everything was okay and if they needed anything. I saw Hilary Duff. She was playing the supporting role. She wanted my opinion on her costume. She wanted MY opinion.

My boss was a bit mean. He is controlling and obssessed with play. He wrote it himself. He can even get annoying but I stuck with him for the money.

Remember when bạn seaid bạn wanted to be a directior...

Around this time last year, the whole club was buzzing.
Absolutely bursting at its seams with wonderful nghề viết văn and magnificent people.
People who inspired me to become better with my writing.
People who taught me how to hold myself higher, and not let other people bring me down, including myself.
People who supported me, even though we barely even knew each other.
People who were delighted to see that I was online and posting writing, even though it was so incredibly un-entertaining and pointless.
People who were practically family.

May I just ask, why did we all have to leave our family behind?
