I partially agree with the article. The acting on the show is phenomenal, especially from Julianna and Alan. I do think that when the writing falls short, the actors keep it interesting. However, I don't think the writing falls short as often as the article lets to believe. I loved the part with the military court. I didn't think it was melodramatic at all (note: I know nothing about military court, but then again, most viewers don't). I don't think there's anything wrong with the regular courtroom scenes too. Sure, they win a lot, maybe more then would be realistic, but most shows let the 'good guys' (read: main characters) win.

This show wouldn't be so popular if the writing was poor. I think that whoever wrote this article forgot that most viewers know nothing about law/court, so to us it's all very believable! Maybe lawyers find the writing of the court scenes a little melodramatic, but I don't.

the acting is so good but also the writing...I for one don't know much about court room drama but every episode I'm amazed about the twist and turns that the writers come up with...so I'm happy with both the writing and the acting
