‘Reign’ season 3 spoilers: Prepare for a pirate! 

Just in case you want to see a little bit of swashbuckling mixed into your French royal drama, the following bit of “Reign” season 3 scoop may be right up your alley!

According to a report from E! News, the CW series is currently in the process of casting someone named Martin who is described as being a “sexy” pirate who is going to make his presence felt in the French court. Just as you would expect given his profession / crafty nature, part of the intrigue here is going to be learning just what his motives are. Surely, he will keep a few things very close to the vest throughout the early portion of his story.

It is nice to hear about a casting that could directly impact some of the characters we have already come to know very well, if for no other reason than that so much of the chatter out there in the press so far about this season has tied to some of the characters on the British side of things. In a way, we get it given that Queen Elizabeth is one of the most famous figures in the history of kings and queens … but let’s not forget to give some of our originals some love! (No, we are not talking about 

originals; Klaus is not crossing over to this show anytime soon, though that would make for a pretty hilarious crossover episode.)

The new season of “Reign” will premiere on The CW Friday, October 9. Of course, we anticipate having way more news before then.
