EVERY fandom has idiots and cool people. Generalizing is never a good thing man. Plus sports isn't a fandom. it's an activity. I guess you can call actual teams fandoms but not the sport itself. It's like saying the tv fandom. Understand?

what's wrong with GF? So far they're one of the best fandoms I've come across, rarely if ever any stupid fighting (or conflict in general, come to think of it) and unlike the SU fandom they don't attack and threaten people for disagreeing with them or pointing out facts that contradict their headcanons.

@Blind92Bandit Yes, I understand, genius. Let's face it, all sports teams have a lot of over emotional fans that act like it's the end of the world just because their team lost. I hate sports and don't follow the teams, so I'm just clumping them together. I'm aware that every fandom has it's idiots and cool people. This is just the ones I think have more than their fair share of annoys fans. But that's not to say I hate all of these things listed. I've never seen My Little Pony, so I'm not going to judge that show. The fans just annoy me because of how over emotional they get and attack people. I like Steven Universe but it's nothing special, there are some animes I like, and I'm neutral towards Chuck Norris. The rest I hate! I mean, Pokemon, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Once Upon A Time are fandoms I'm a part of but they have TONS of annoying fans and I was tempted to put them in here.

^That wasn't meant to be an insult nor bashing your opinion. And anyways I just generalizing wasn't good in the first place so your argument on that point doesn't really have grounds. I'd appreciate if you don't show animosity because that wasn't what I was intending at all. I was just being matter of fact. And anyways you probably talked to the wrong fans. And you have a somewhat bias viewpoint of them.

@AudreyFreak Which part of the internet do you hang out in? I'd like to see this! I've seen TONS of annoying Gravity Falls fans. How they always have to compare anything to Gravity Falls like Total Drama Island. What the hell is the point of that? Or if someone says they don't like the show they get attacked. I've said I hated the show. I've explained why and wasn't that hateful and was attacked for it. But I do admit that the haters of Gravity Falls are actually more annoying than the fanbase is. Maybe that's why I usually get attacked when I say I hate Gravity Falls and don't really bash it. But I agree that the Steven Universe fandom is WORSE.

The movie itself isn't bad, but the fandom is insane! They attack someone if they just say that the movie wasn't "the best movie ever''. And the MLP fandom? It doesn't actually have a terrible fandom. Most fans are actually pretty cool (minus the cloppers/fappers & the rabid fans). But since I'm a pegasister (female brony), then that's just me. :/
And MLP is actually a pretty good show. ♡

I'm not doing this just to bash the fandoms because there are plenty of shows and movies that I'm a HARDCORE fan of that have A LOT of annoying fans. I'm just curious if anyone else feels the same way. I've definitely meet a lot of mature and cool fans from all these fanbases, it's just I've seen more bad ones outweigh the bad. Really? I find that the Harry Potter fandoms is one of the nicest fandoms I've been in alongside Avatar. I've seen more bad apples and toxic people in the Once fandom than I have in the HP one. HP fans in my personal experiance are genrally pretty open-minded. It and Avatar (IMO) have the nicest fandoms. Once and Winx as a member of those fandoms I can say they have a lot of not-so-friendly people especially compared to HP and Avatar. Legit, in the HP fandom I only ran into one person who didn't like me simply for my taste in characters. Whereas with Once I had 2 people actively and daily hate on me (and me personally) for liking Regina. And a bunch of others who would occasionally make rude remarks for my taste in characters. Glad to say that since then I think I've made amends with one of the two though. Typically with HP and Avatar (minus shipping wars) the fans are pretty chill.

I'm not gonna say all MLP fans are bad but a lot of the ones I've run into here on fanpop have gotten really mad at me just for saying I don't like MLP. And I don't even say it on the MLP fanclub; they'd ask opinions on the show over here on random and they'd get butthurt if someone said they didn't like it.
But like I said, not all of 'em are bad.

All of this said, just generally laying down an opinion. Not here to bash your poll or anything. But I think we talk enough for you to know that lol.

@Katara I see and that's understandable. It's fine. There's no harm done. But that is kind of the reason why I don't participate with fandoms essentially. I know it sounds ironic that I am on fanpop and don't participate with fandoms generally. I just view all of them as being the same because I know people like who have alot of fandoms will go over to other fandoms and spread their poison just like anyone who spreads good things about their fandom. I have seen more than my share of idiots in anything. Instead of stressing out. I just reason that "Well I can enjoy xyz without being that involved with the fandom and if a cool guy/girl comes along then I start to express my different concerns." I am a hardcore of alot of stuff too but that's generally how I react to them but sometimes they get under my skin too.

@zanhar1 The Harry Potter fans I've met weren't very friendly, but I'm not part of the fandom, so I wouldn't know. I think the Avatar fandom is worse outside of fanpop.

Maybe you ask contrivirsal polls lol? I find that when I ask more 'negative' polls like 'my least favorite characters who is yours?' I get a lot more comments and fewer votes.

I guess it's all about experience. I've met some bad seeds in the fandom but not as many as in fandoms like Once or Merlin. Avatar is pretty nice on fanpop, and surprisingly on tumblr too (again minus shipping). For example while there is Azula hate they don't post it in the Azula tag like Regina haters do in the Regina tag. And on both tumblr and fanpop I feel like I've had a good experience with fellow Avatards...and Potterheads for that matter. Now on Avatar Spirit Net, I was so off put by all of the Azula hate and villain hate in general so I just stick to fanpop and tumblr.

Anime annoys me so much. I honestly just don't see the hype.

It's just made up of a bunch of snobbish nerds who always flip out at anything Lucas does. I'm sure that no matter what, the new movie will suck for them because nothing satisfies them but the old 70s movies with those cheap-ass effects (and i like the old Star Wars, don't get me wrong, but they're not the Holy Grail of movies).

Marvel's fandom is also pretty bad. Constant DC-bashing, people getting butthurt over Black Widow for the stupidest reasons, and people just talking out of their asses about things they don't know about (they've only watched the movies and never read the comics but TOOOTALLY understand how Peter Parker's character works if he's only played by a black man and how he only loves Gwen Stacy).

Disney's fandom is also bad, at least outside of Fanpop. Imagine tumblr, SJWs and Buzzfeed x10.

The anime fandom isn't so bad, if you know in which anime to be into. Just avoid the weaboos who glorify Japan and the creepy pedophile artists and everything will be alright. The Harry Potter fandom...Back in the day it was wild, but nowadays aside from weird internet things from time to tim it is moderately calm.
I don't think Kung Fu Panda, Wall-E or the Walking Dead have fandoms, because at least i haven't seen bad behavior coming from them. (and like 8thegreat said, i'm not sure Panda and Wall-E can properly have fandoms? They're just small movies after all.) And GF and sports aren't that bad as far as fandoms go either.

I'm in most of these fandoms... Awkward. XD I hope I'm not on the "bad side". Anyway, Chuck Norris fans are mostly ten year olds reusing the same 5 Chuck Norris "jokes" from 2011. Imo, Sonic fans and Superwholocks are the most annoying, especially Superwholocks (even though I like/love all three shows), the fandom is really rude and thinks they rule tumblr. It gets kinda annoying.

Easy. Also, once again, I agree with scarletunicorn, though I think that sports fans can get absolutely insane at times.
Also, what misscindyspice said about Chuck Norris fans is so damn accurate. I've got friends like this in real life and it pisses me off to no end.

Anything can have a fandom -- even if it's a single movie (like frozen) -- as long as there are a few people willing to talk about or whatever.

Actually, Frozen is one of the nicest fandoms around, at least from what I've seen on tumblr and fanpop.

SU fans need to calm down though, geez. I don't care that they headcanon weird things, people can headcanon whatever they want, but they're so pushy with it *and* they act like the creators of that show invented the wheel or something.

Terrible fan base, hateful, racist, obnoxious, overanalyze everything and if you dare criticizing one thing about their show they will tear you apart.

Despite HTTYD being one of my favorite movie, the fan base makes me wanna throw up. 75% of the it is salty fan who can't shut up about how much they hate Disney (and frozen in particular), they totally overrestimate the gay "representation" and they never talk about the first HTTYD movie which is my favorite

Frozen fanbase was annoying back when Frozen was the most popular thing in the world, but it was mostly because of all the "FROZEN IS THE BEST DISNEY MOVIE!! ELSA DO NOT NEED A MAN ;) SHE IS A QUEEN SHE IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN EVERY OTHE R PRINCESS!!" but I don't see that anymore. The actual fandom is pretty cool and nice.

For anime, I think it depends, it is true that most of the fan are awful and extremely immature weeaboos who think Japan is perfect, who bash western cartoon and who can't shut the fuck up about anime (and this is why I didn't wanted to watch anime and thought it was pure trash till last year) but I've recently get into FMA and the fandom is (for the most part ) really nice and one of the coolest I've been in (there are still exceptions tho). But typing my comment I'm also thinking of SNK, which is a very good anime but with a disgusting fanbase full of SJW and (mentally) 12 years old. So it really depends.

IMO, The Gravity Falls fandom is great and comfy, what do you blame them for?
