And it gets to the part where Lucas goes all idiotic and says that maybe the reason Peyton "said no" is because she didn't believe he could get his novel published... bullshit we know, but anyways! It then goes to show the flashback from S6 where it was the day Peyton was supposed to leave for LA... and it shows the scene where she's telling him how she sent a bunch of copies of his book to different publishers!!
It didn't really pop in my head when the episode aired but WHAT THE FUCK?!? Do these writers not believe in continuity AT ALL?? There's no way they can excuse this or try to say that Luke didn't know she had done that, so wtf was the point??
As much as I've come to like LP, it just kinda further proves what BL fans have said: The writers don't give a shit about continuity and prior story lines when it comes to LP.

lol i think ive finally decided that he's my least favorite of the core 5.
I liked them in the beginnig of season 1. Lucas had clearly a thing for her. But then, Peyton didn't took the chance and he moved on to Brooke. Which i loved. =]
Then Leyton cheated on Brooke, Brucas broke up and Leyton had the opportunity to be together, right there. Again, they didn't take the chance. Then we got BL in season 2 and 3, Lucas was so in love with her, and so was Brooke with him.
But by the end, Mark decides that Peyton still have feelings for him. Which okay, she might even had. But WTF was that in season 4? Lucas spent TWO seasons loving Brooke, and after a few episodes in season 4, he's not the guy for her anymore??
I can't understand this, this continuity doesn't make sense AT ALL to me.
IMO, the writers screwed up Leyton relashionship with all of those up and downs. There are Leyton fans, obviously, but there writers also made the fans love couples like Brucas and Jeyton. And suddendly, they decided it's Leyton time, so let's pretend Leyton loved each other all the time, and Brooke/Jake were never there.
That flashback thing is another prove that the writes try TOO hard to make the fans love Leyton. To try to prove us that Leyton love was always there. I'm not saying that they don't love each other now, but c'mon! It wasn't always there.
This really annoys me endless. =/
There's another thing, Peyton forgave him way too faster in season 5. Thre's another signal that the writers try too hard.
People hate the "I wanted you to fight for me" Brucas scene.. Yea, well, at least Brooke was protecting her heart. =/
THANK YOU CAT!! This is something i will never, ever understand! I know there are a lot of LP fans who admit that they wanted Luke to have to work a lot harder to get back with Peyton, hell they wanted him to have to work at it at all! And i get it, you ignore the lack of trying & buildup because you've waited for so long to get them back together, but it's just like 4x09 in my opinion...
If the writers really wanted us to believe in LP, if they wanted to show that they weren't just trying to shove them in our faces and force people to accept them, they would have actually taken some time to work things out in S6, and they wouldn't have shoved them together in S4.
And I'm sure I'll get shit and hear, oh i thought you liked LP now, guess you're just full of it... NO. I DO like LP, but I've never been a hypocrite and I'm not going to start now. If anything i think liking both BL & LP has made it a little easy to see things better and not just be biased towards BL sometimes.

I feel like Mark is just trying to shove LP in our faces. If you're a LP fan, you will love it. But if you're not.. I can't even describe how bad the feeling is. lol
That's why i only liked them in season 1-3. In season 1, Mark wasn't trying anything too hard. And i enjoyed seeing LP as friends in season 2-3. I don't mind them as friends, at all. I honestly think that they are better as friends.. But that's just me speaking as a BL fan. =P

OMG i totally agree! thats another thing that always pisses me off. marks always trying to make LP look soo great and trying to get them together that in the process he ruins them and the characters. when peyton took lucas back in a heart beat i lost what little respect for her i had. i mean how pathetic is that?! this guy screw you over and you just go crawling back to him everytimg when he says "im sorry" I loved brooke for her "fight for me" thing cuz that showed the kind of person she was. strong and independant and not willing to let people get away with things that easily. her reaction was totally realistic wheras peytons and leytons was soo not. uhhg the writers totally piss me off. when it comes to leyton they have no brain lmao. s1 LP was okay, but after that nothing ever made sence. uugh OHH and the flashiback scene in s6 lucas says something about how he got peyton tickets to see that band months ago, that doestn make any sence cuz months ago he would have been with BROOKE. grr the writers are soo dumb!

But seriously, i HATE the fact that they are trying to make Lucas the prince charming or whataver. It's so unreal, and honestly, it makes he/them look like a fraud. =/ They are together because Mark wants them to be, he doesn't try too hard to makes us understand LP, he just trow their scenes at us and expect us to go all "AWW, that's so sweet of Luke <333"

Peyton spent the whole season 5 crying over Lucas, she even burnt his book.
He said "I hate you" to Peyton. And after all of that, he asks her to marry him and she just accepts? :O
Not only is a stupid thing to do, but it also seems a bit out of character to me.
How can the LP fans like this is beyond me.. Lol, but i'm glad some people like it.
At the end of the day, i'm just gratefull that Mark never tried too hard with BL or NH. Seriously. Thanks Mark.
when he says that in series 5, like an episode before it shows leyton in LA, shes telling him how his dream IS GOING TO HAPPEN, that she BELIEVES IN HIM. then even before that in 5.02 peyton says; i quote "if your struggling to the write the next one, then you should know, your art matters lucas, its what got me here"
AND THERE EPISODES APART, NOT EVEN A SERIES. know what i mean?

Yes, i agree the writers do screw things over, they make these two not make sense. but i still love them no matter what anyway. The basic story behind them i love. but the writers complicate things that ruin them. Then again, these people do this with all couples, they do it with the entire show.
