i think nathan because he never loved anyone other than haley. lucas was in love with both brooke & lindsay, slept with nicki, & dated anna. yes, he loves peyton, but he keeps changing his mind about who he loves. nathan has always loved haley & even after she left him, he didn't jump into bed with someone else like lucas did with peyton both times. he waited for her to come back.

It's hard because Lucas and Nathan seem to express their love for their wifes in different ways so I guess I can't decide who loves who more.

this question is impossible to know the answer to... surely they both love their wives equally. but i'm extremely biased since i love Leyton, and hate Naley... so ofcourse i'm going with Lucas :)

just becuase lucas is human, and has loved people other than peyton along the way... doesnt make his love for her NOW any less than nathans love for haley. lucas definitely loves peyton JUST as much as nathan loves haley, if not more. if you ask me, we have more evidence of lucas' love for peyton (the TWO books, multiple proposals, more history with the school year predictions... ect)

but i agree that there is just no way anyone could know the answer to this question... they definitely love their wives the same amount

Definetly Nathan he asked Haley to be his wife at 16 which meant that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Also Lucas may love Peyton but remembered when he loved Brooke and was even engaged to Lindsay and said I do ad he didnt care that Peyton loved him he didnt want her so definetly Nathan not that Lucas doesnt love Pyton

Do the words "I've loved you since the first time I saw you" or "these words and this ring are just a way to show everyone what has been in my heart for ad long as I've known you" ring any bells? Both of those quotes are from Lucas to peyton during his wedding vows to her... So that clearly says something :)

if he was really SOOOOOOO in love with her for that long, he never would have been able to have sex with anyone else, whether he loved that person or not. when you're in love. real love. the only person you want is the one that you are with. if anyone has ever been in love, they know that true love stays & does not stray, even in the face of adversity.

nathan said that the other half of the first book was about brooke, so he kind of only wrote 1 & 1/2 books about peyton. & i could write a book about someone i hate & i'm sure someone would think it was magical.

the fact is, naley fought but they never went off & had relationships with other people. they were given several chances to stray (chris, taylor, carrie, rachel) but even with those temptations, they stayed together.

Nathan loves Haley a lot but Lucas has shown on various occasions the lengths of his love for Peyton...Yes..Nathan was with Haley longer than Lucas was with Peyton...but that doesn't mean that Nathan's love was more stronger...

Nathan loves Haley more then anything, and always has, he's never let anything stop those feelings and he never will. He has never gone back and fourth between two or more girls that he "loves." Nathan is a better husband and has proved it over time. Sure Lucas and Peyton are meant to be and are a great love story but nothing compares to Naley. Like they have been through alot too and haven't lost eachother ever. Lucas and Peyton have said "we kinda lost eachother there for awhile" or something before. Naley have never lost each other. Even when she was gone, he loved her more then life itself and her feelings never changed. When he was being stubborn she fought and never gave up. And he said he still loved her and always would. He never said he was the guy for any other girl (brucas) he never proposed to anyone to piss Haley off (lincus) Nathan has beeen dedicated, devoted, loving, caring and there for one person and one person only. He never cheated he has done nothing but be an amazing guy and husband, He loves Haley more then anything, thats true love.

I agree that it's hard to tell who loves his wife more...but this "evidence" you're talking about doesn't really prove a thing ; ) I'd shorten it to ONE book (the other one, "Ravens", was about his whole highschool life including everyone he loves and every friend and girlfried he had/has), ONE real proposal (yeah, I guess we could count the fail proposal in season 5 or the pretty ridiculous proposal in 6x01 where Luke didn't even get the chance to ask her xD Btw...Naley had two proposals as well!) and the school year predictions.
But just because Nathan isn't a best-selling author who writes about the woman he loves most in the world or because he didn't write his predictions down every year doesn't mean that he doesn't love Haley as much as Lucas loves Peyton xD
As a matter of fact I'm actually quite sure that Nathan does love Haley a tiny bit more. And why can't we count the things Lucas did in the past when everything didn't work out so well for him? Maybe NOW they both love their wives equally but if you look at a longer period you can definitely tell that Nathan is the one who never gave up on [his love for] Haley. And that's decisive for me.
