I mean, I'm not excessively annoyed it's just that LGBT is what's typical and people saying GLBT is pretty pointless. It feels like they just want gay men to be first, gay men to be the most important part of the queer community, because god forbid lesbians are mentioned first. *shrugs* minor annoyance but still
I've never personally heard anyone use that, but even so, it wouldn't really bother me. At least all the letters are there. What irritates me is when people only talk about representation for Gays/Lesbians and don't care about all the others. Actually, a lot of people have started saying LGBTQA now, so every sexuality is included, I like that.
^ although it still excludes some things like intersex and other gender identities. No matter how many letters you throw in the acronym will always exclude someone. That's why I've always used "queer" as a substitute!
Nope, I can say GOLBAT (Omnisexual and Asexual).
But who says LGBT has to be typical? Why can't it be rearranged?
Lesbians aren't the most important part either. Weird logic.
^ it's just that LGBT is tradition and while I'm not one for upholding meaningless tradition literally the only reason anyone would have to say GLBT instead is wanting gay men to be the most prominent listed group.
I can see how it is a little annoying but tbh, I'm more bothered by the mistreatment and violence against the LGBT+ community than I am the arranging of letters.
