i really don't know i like to think he wouldn't because there was always good in him but i don't know i agree with allegrogiocoso if he did try i think simba would have won the fight and kovu would have been killed

Kovu is too unskilled. He fainted when he was kicked by Zira's lioness. When Kiara fell down with Zira, he was too afraid to help her. Simba had to take matters into his own paws and rescue his daughter. That means Kovu is too weak and scared.
