Hey Soph i think Hotch would have gone through a lot to save any member of his team, the difference here, is that he wsn't angry at her in the entire episode, on the contrary, i think he didn't know he had to be there for her, because she's the one who people turn into.when he calls her to his office, he closes the case, true, but how he does it, how he looks at her, that moment is what counts, he doesn't speak to her as she was his subordinate (at least until he suspended her) but he talks like he's talking to an equal, it sounded too personal, too close. that's why this is THE episode
