Is the rating faq innacurate?

It's very out of date.

Rating was replaced bởi fanning a few years ago, mainly because rating could be abused. People would give high ratings to contributions from their fans, hoặc would just rate everything as a 5 regardless of quality.

To fan, bạn just click the green button which says "Fan of it?". It's on the bottom right for hình ảnh and videos, the hàng đầu, đầu trang right on các bài viết and on the right directly opposite a link.

FlickerFlame is right! It was changed years cách đây mainly because of 2 reasons. Biased people rating 5 stars on everything hoặc rating 1 ngôi sao to be mean and the 2nd reason is because fanpop is suppose to be positive and being a người hâm mộ of something and if bạn rate low on something then your not người hâm mộ and that doesn't make the contributer who đã đăng that content feel good.

The entire faq is totally out of ngày and has been for years. Many a user has pointed that out, but still no update. Never seen any other site with such an out of ngày FAQ. Embarrassing.
