First of all, the best thing to do is to only post your own photos, not reworkings of các bức ảnh that are copyrighted to someone else (because they didn't originate with you). I say that's the best thing, and it is actually the only practice in line with Fanpop's Terms of Service (the very first item under "Content đã đăng bởi You"). I'd include the url as a link, but the các câu trả lời feature doesn't understand fanpop text tags, so I can't link it. The TOS is linked from the bottom of any page on Fanpop.
That said, just about everybody violates copyrights all the time on the web, not just here on Fanpop. There is no way, for instance, to acknowledge the copyright of biểu tượng hoặc banner hình ảnh in any club, unless the user posts them again in the image galleries of that club with the correct copyright attribution listed under "image credit," and that's still not proper use unless bạn have written prior consent from the copyright owner.
Same thing goes for picks - the site has probably thêm copyright violations in picks than anyplace else. But what we can do is try to convey the proper credit where we can, so that the risk of copyright owners coming to fanpop and insisting that sections of the site using their content be removed (as has happened in the past) be reduced to a minimum.
So we have image credits for hình ảnh in the galleries. This should always credit the copyright owner(s). The mô tả should describe your role in the image getting here on Fanpop. A few examples:
"An image I found online here:
link" (in the case where bạn found an image without copyright attribution and reposted it without modification)
or
"I took this picture of Estelle Getty and combined it with the Orlando Bloom pic using GIMP 4.2." (in the instance where bạn have copyright attribution in the image credits section already)
or
"I captured this image from my DVR using SoftwareGrab 2.3. It's taken from Episode 13 of "That TV Show" at about the 13:42 một phút mark, when Sally was punching Dom in the face after he cracked that joke." (for screen caps)
So, in summary, present the information in the following precedence:
1) copyright owner (in image credit)
1a) if bạn can't do that, provide a link where bạn got it (in description)
1b) if bạn can't do that, describe where bạn got it (ie, episode 5 of "This Show")
2) person who created the image (in description) This includes the photographer/cinematographer/artist (if different than the copyright owner) AND bạn (if bạn modified the image)
3) If bạn edited the image and bạn want to, tell us how bạn modified it - what software bạn used, what transforms/edits bạn made, et cetera. This isn't strictly necessary - bạn NEVER have to give credit to Photoshop if bạn don't wish to - but it is interesting information for other people, especially if they like what bạn did and want to learn how to do it themselves.
