I do not know the other girl, so I picked Jas.

Ayeka is well mannered, traditional, aristocratic, snobbish accent due to her upbringing and very fierce (she's very protective of her sister and the one she romantically loves).

In my opinion, Ayeka is more interesting than Jasmine. I know, I know I say Jasmine is favourite but to be honest if I was to do a top 20 of my favourite princesses stretched across all media, Ayeka would be at the top.

And yes she's the same girl in my icon.

I don't know Ayeka and even though from what you say she seems a very interesting character, I have to watch her movie to judge myself.

It's a youtube channel that features all three anime series and if you search for Tenchi in love (and then for the same title with the number 2 & 3) you'll see the movies. But it's very important to know that Tenchi in Love and Tenchi in Love 3 are a continuation of the second series and Tenchi in Love 2 is a continuation of the first series. Oh and to make things more complicated each series is set in a different universe so the meeting of the characters is different in each series. The main characters, Ayeka included may have a character trait modified but otherwise they are the same characters throughout the Tenchi Muyo media.

Never seen Ayeka's character before.

Never really cared for Ayeka.

All I really remember about her was she was really prissy, reserved, and tried to act like a proper lady, yet she constantly argued with her sister, constantly fawned over Tenchi (best way for me to stop caring about a female character), and got into "not so above it all" fights with Ryoko. =(

Kind of stock in my opinion. We don't see as much of Jasmine, but I think she comes across as very intelligent, insight, and interesting, and I would have loved to see her put into new situations and meet new people and see how she reacted. (I don't count the sequels or show because she acts more like a temperamental shrew and generic "kick-ass action girl" than in the film.)

That's fair. I'm glad someone knows her apart from me. If she didn't fawn over Tenchi and fought with Ryoko the show would be boring. Sasami and Ayeka never argued, they were quite close. I mean Sasami once told Ayeka off being rude to Tenchi but that was done calmly. Besides Sasami is sweet, shorter and younger than Ayeka. I can't remember any series where they argued.
