Or Tangled. But I'm going with Princess and the Frog because they bent over backwards trying to avoid anything that could be taken as racist.

They made everything as modern as possible. But it was still great, I just think they added a tad bit too much humor. It looked like they were desperate in a small way.

I love Tangled, and The Princess and the Frog, but yeah. Those two for the reasons above ^^

No doubt about it. Do you guys remember all of the changes that were made to the film after PatF was released to appeal to the wider audience? The name change, misleading advertising of Flynn being the main, the corny, over the top humour? Trying to make it as modern as possible

The PatF is for sure next. They made so much changes during production to avoid racial issues. They changed tiana's name from Maddy because it was too similar to a black offensive term "Mammy", they changed her job from a maid to a waitress? They gave Naveen an unidentified race?

Seems like it worked for both movies though.

The thing with Tangled is that they only changed the presentation in order to please the audience, but the important thing, the actual story, stayed untouched. All those scenes which looked like they were straight out of the dreamworks movie aren't in the movie in itself. No pop culture references, no forced humor.
PatF on the other hand suffered greatly because the movie in itself was rewritten again and again, in order to please the audience. Followed by Pocahontas, which was mostly made to do a "serious" Disney movie.
Tangled it's for me more the "back to the roots" approach.

^ Personally I think the humor in Tangled is VERY forced, but that's just me. Particularly Flynn's quotes.

Either this or Princess and the Frog.

Historically inaccurate. I think this is a MOVIE NOT a DOCUMENTARY!
