If any of bạn are familiar with character stylization hoặc really art in general bạn might like this article. I'm talking about character stylization in the sense that when the artist is also the tác giả of the character's personality and has written out their every thought in simply the way they are designed. This can also be called "interpreted art" as anyone can perceive it differently, but a common factor still remains that everyone agrees on. BASICALLY I'm going to "guess" what the princess' personality is like based on the way she's drawn, see what the general consensus is on her personality is and compare it to the artist's (strictly NOT the writer hoặc director's) original idea of what they wanted the princess to come off as. And if this is at all interesting to bạn bạn can look up this with different artists bởi searching it as "the artist's definition of (their work)" and maybe bạn can find this with other characters.

P.S I know I had to do a lot of digging on the older movies, because of the lack of documentation, so good luck on the ones post 1980's!

Cinderella -- Cinderella

At this point in time Disney had established itself as a beloved children's phim hoạt hình studio, however the studio was bankrupt at the time with Cinderella, seemingly, about to be the last animated feature to come out, because of this Cinderella's staff, especially animators, were low-budget. Eventually the honor of Cinderella's thiết kế (influenced bởi Mary Blair's artwork) was bestowed upon Marc Davis with Eric Larson and Les Clark as supervising animators.

Walt Disney had chosen Marc Davis specifically, because Mary Blair's art suggested softer lines and Davis was someone he new was very good with making soft characters, mostly do to his trước đó creations like Bambi and Katrina van Tassel. In fact, around the studio he mostly animated động vật and Lọ lem was his một giây time animating a human character (with Alice, Aurora and tinkerbell soon to come).

Davis' yêu thích concept piece

Marc Davis was very fond of the "simple country girl" aspect for her design, but he wanted aspects of her to be beautiful to "really offset the ugliness of the step-sisters."
In many early concepts of Lọ lem she has hardly any features in attempt to match the Mary Blair art style, but eventually she started gaining thêm detailed features with Davis favoring the sketches in which she had two plats on each side of her head.

Of course the live-action reference model had a lot to do with how Cinderella's hair and outfits eventually turned out, in fact Disney himself liked the model's style and diễn xuất for reference and wanted her image nearly copied; However Davis didn't much care for her structure and designed Lọ lem bởi her voice actor instead of the model.

The câu hỏi is: Does her finale form encompass the feeling the animator wanted for her character?

All in all I believe what he was trying to convey with Cinderella's looks is almost a chic country southern chuông, bell type of look, but covered with a messy and simple exterior, keeping her face light and regal, but still hinting that she sweats and works hard. The mental image I get in my head is Snow White with messy ponytails and dirt on her face, but still naturally pretty. Personality-wise I feel it'd be closer to Jessie from Toy Story hoặc Danielle from Ever After, which Lọ lem doesn't really have since it's much closer to Snow White.

Based on what I got from what he đã đưa ý kiến and his concept art I feel like she turned out a bit too clean-cut and graceful like Belle. I think the "natural beauty" is definitely there seeing as Lọ lem wears no make-up with no harsh lines hoặc accessories, but I feel that the "country" aspect is lost, she doesn't really look too "girl" like hoặc "on the ranch," instead she actually leans thêm towards a thêm mature and graceful look.

Cinderella's outfit, though is very true to form it's simple and maid-like and looks like she takes care of all of the work and spends time in the farm, the fact that it isn't very flattering brings out the beauty beneath the rags which is definitely Davis' vision (and of course the theme of Cinderella). I do think it's a bit too maid-like though, and isn't something like an outdoor stable-hand outfit, (or closer to a milk-maid look) instead it gives me a 1940's housewife vibe.

I think his concepts can definitely be seen in the final product, but, for me, I don't think it fully encompasses what he was going for especially since his contribution to this version of Lọ lem was going to be a thêm "simple country girl" type, which instead comes across as a similar "regal dainty southern bell."

So what do bạn think; does Lọ lem perfectly embody what bạn think her animator was going for, hoặc do bạn think she's way off? Do bạn agree with me? Would bạn have preferred the animator's original idea hoặc what she turned out like? Tell me what you're thinking in the comments, especially tell me if you'd like to see thêm (since I started this so long ago).
I just finished watching Pocahontas 2 and I really wanted to write an bài viết about what I feel for this sequel. If bạn haven't seen the movie, don't read this article, it contains spoilers. Also, I'm very sorry for not putting images, but I don't have the time.

To begin with, I find that movie really good. Of course bạn can't compare it with Pocahontas 1, but how many sequels are actually better than the original movie? It's not only the animation/ plot/ characters that are much better, but also the feeling of nostalgia bạn get. When I really like one movie, I will definitely feel weird when...

Elsa, is my yêu thích DP currently and I thought of hiển thị my opinions about her.

We first meet Elsa when she is sleeping and Anna wakes her because "the sky is awake" and they have to play.
She first hesitates and tells her to play bởi herself but when her sister asks her to build a snowman she can't resist.
This part shows Elsa's personality before being isolated. We can see that she is the elder sister and tends to act thêm mature and calm, but she enjoys being with her sister and shows her playful side.
And we can also see that she isn't afraid of her powers and likes to use them.
"Shshshsh!!! Anna, can't bạn stay calm for a minute?"
"Shshshsh!!!...

A phiếu bầu was recently made about who was the most selfish DP, and I was shocked and annoyed at what people were saying about Elsa (and Merida... But I guess I may have to make that bài viết later) being selfish.

I know this point is already being debated on the poll, so some may find it a bit repetitive to read this, but I wanted to make a really detailed examination about Elsa and her 'selfishness'.

One argument I read was: "in the beginning part when she forbids Anna to marry him, it's just because she doesn't want to see Anna have fun with others while she is alone in her own sadness...."....

It's the 3rd time I'm nghề viết văn this article, main reason for doing it again is because I wanted to include Anna and Elsa and also because Within Temptation released a new album almost 2 months cách đây aswell as a single with a total of 12 new songs so I'll be using some of those to the princesses, anyway hope you'll tình yêu this bài viết :)

If most of bạn like me have grown up with The Little Mermaid and have followed the phim chiếu rạp and TV shows, I think bạn realize when it comes to the story of the rebellious redhead from under the sea, it's not completely there.

Now I didn't see The Little Mermaid in theaters, but a lot of bạn did. It after all was the highest grossing animated film at that time. And of course, bạn all loved it. So when bạn found out that Disney was making an animated series about the movie, bạn of course were very excited. I myself grew up watching the series on VHS's and one of the VHS's I owned was "In Harmony."...

Elsa's name (a variant of Elizabeth) is Germanic for "noble".
Elsa is 21 years old bởi the time of her coronation, according to Jennifer Lee, the Junior Novelization, and the age difference from Anna.
When Elsa joins the Disney Princess line-up, she'll not only replace Lọ lem as the oldest Disney Princess, but she'll be the only Disney Princess to not be a teenager.
Elsa is the first Disney Princess who is the deuteragonist to have a solo of her own. hoa nhài does not count since her solo was removed from her feature film.
Despite the fact Elsa controls ice and snow, which are both...

Lately my obsession for Pocahontas is growing, and although I've already made a "Why I Love" bài viết for her, I just really wanted to write something else for her. The bài viết will be a scene-by-scene review, so I'll start from the beginning and talk about every scene she's in till the end, so this bài viết might get pretty lengthy. Anyways, I hope bạn enjoy :)

We first see Pocahontas up on a cliff thinking. I tình yêu how Pocahontas thinks things through and isn't at all impulsive. We then see her dive off the cliff, as opposed to going down the safer way. This shows Pocahontas's adventurous side...

This is my third bài viết on this club and I decided to write it because I haven't written an bài viết like this and I had just wrote my prettiest ranking list. Remember các bình luận are welcome as long as they don't insult me hoặc another commenter. Now lets begin!

13. Tiana
I just don't really like her. Please don't say I'm racist because her race has nothing to do with it. In fact I think she's really pretty and I admire her hard working spirit. I just think she's kind of boring and her movie is also my least yêu thích Disney princess movie.
