If any of bạn are familiar with character stylization hoặc really art in general bạn might like this article. I'm talking about character stylization in the sense that when the artist is also the tác giả of the character's personality and has written out their every thought in simply the way they are designed. This can also be called "interpreted art" as anyone can perceive it differently, but a common factor still remains that everyone agrees on. BASICALLY I'm going to "guess" what the princess' personality is like based on the way she's drawn, see what the general consensus is on her personality is and compare it to the artist's (strictly NOT the writer hoặc director's) original idea of what they wanted the princess to come off as. And if this is at all interesting to bạn bạn can look up this with different artists bởi searching it as "the artist's definition of (their work)" and maybe bạn can find this with other characters.

P.S I know I had to do a lot of digging on the older movies, because of the lack of documentation, so good luck on the ones post 1980's!

Cinderella -- Cinderella

At this point in time Disney had established itself as a beloved children's phim hoạt hình studio, however the studio was bankrupt at the time with Cinderella, seemingly, about to be the last animated feature to come out, because of this Cinderella's staff, especially animators, were low-budget. Eventually the honor of Cinderella's thiết kế (influenced bởi Mary Blair's artwork) was bestowed upon Marc Davis with Eric Larson and Les Clark as supervising animators.

Walt Disney had chosen Marc Davis specifically, because Mary Blair's art suggested softer lines and Davis was someone he new was very good with making soft characters, mostly do to his trước đó creations like Bambi and Katrina van Tassel. In fact, around the studio he mostly animated động vật and Lọ lem was his một giây time animating a human character (with Alice, Aurora and tinkerbell soon to come).

 Davis' yêu thích concept piece
Davis' yêu thích concept piece

Marc Davis was very fond of the "simple country girl" aspect for her design, but he wanted aspects of her to be beautiful to "really offset the ugliness of the step-sisters."
In many early concepts of Lọ lem she has hardly any features in attempt to match the Mary Blair art style, but eventually she started gaining thêm detailed features with Davis favoring the sketches in which she had two plats on each side of her head.

Of course the live-action reference model had a lot to do with how Cinderella's hair and outfits eventually turned out, in fact Disney himself liked the model's style and diễn xuất for reference and wanted her image nearly copied; However Davis didn't much care for her structure and designed Lọ lem bởi her voice actor instead of the model.

The câu hỏi is: Does her finale form encompass the feeling the animator wanted for her character?

All in all I believe what he was trying to convey with Cinderella's looks is almost a chic country southern chuông, bell type of look, but covered with a messy and simple exterior, keeping her face light and regal, but still hinting that she sweats and works hard. The mental image I get in my head is Snow White with messy ponytails and dirt on her face, but still naturally pretty. Personality-wise I feel it'd be closer to Jessie from Toy Story hoặc Danielle from Ever After, which Lọ lem doesn't really have since it's much closer to Snow White.

Based on what I got from what he đã đưa ý kiến and his concept art I feel like she turned out a bit too clean-cut and graceful like Belle. I think the "natural beauty" is definitely there seeing as Lọ lem wears no make-up with no harsh lines hoặc accessories, but I feel that the "country" aspect is lost, she doesn't really look too "girl" like hoặc "on the ranch," instead she actually leans thêm towards a thêm mature and graceful look.

Cinderella's outfit, though is very true to form it's simple and maid-like and looks like she takes care of all of the work and spends time in the farm, the fact that it isn't very flattering brings out the beauty beneath the rags which is definitely Davis' vision (and of course the theme of Cinderella). I do think it's a bit too maid-like though, and isn't something like an outdoor stable-hand outfit, (or closer to a milk-maid look) instead it gives me a 1940's housewife vibe.

I think his concepts can definitely be seen in the final product, but, for me, I don't think it fully encompasses what he was going for especially since his contribution to this version of Lọ lem was going to be a thêm "simple country girl" type, which instead comes across as a similar "regal dainty southern bell."

So what do bạn think; does Lọ lem perfectly embody what bạn think her animator was going for, hoặc do bạn think she's way off? Do bạn agree with me? Would bạn have preferred the animator's original idea hoặc what she turned out like? Tell me what you're thinking in the comments, especially tell me if you'd like to see thêm (since I started this so long ago).

(More a "question piece" than an "opinion piece"...commentary will be very helpful for my third and final write-up on Aurora's personality)

I cannot remember if I read this somewhere hoặc if I misread something about Rapunzel who has three books... but Aurora seems to have 2 books?

Now, if this is correct, then I'm so happy! Partly because it supports my belief that she's educated (=obviously literate) well beyond the regular peasant, but also, makes her all the better of a role model which might make her 2nd fav princess now (Sorry Cindy).

Historically speaking (=14th century, 1300s), she is set...

I saw CRaZy_rawR do an bài viết like this recently and it looked fun so I thought I might try it out :) Anyway let's get started! Also, I'm not including Anna and Elsa in this list, but their wardrobes are definitely two of my favorites!

Snow White: Rags

I absolutely tình yêu this dress! I tình yêu her other dress as well, but I've always found this dress so charming! I tình yêu the color scheme of it, and I tình yêu the blue hair-bow she wears with it. I think this dress is beautiful, and if the Queen's job was to hide Snow's beauty in that dress she definitely failed! Although the bottom of the dress looks...

I wanted to do this for a while, but I wanted to wait until Nữ hoàng băng giá came out before I did. Plus, I have school and tutoring so I really didn't have time. Anyways, here is my long-awaited yêu thích DP list.

13. Merida
Previous Position: 11
*Blows a deep breath* Merida. (Read in same tone as Nostalgia Chick uses when she đã đưa ý kiến “Anime” in her hàng đầu, đầu trang ten hottest animated guys countdown.) I want to like her, I really do. But I just... can't. I dislike Merida. I do admit that she did a great thing at the end: admit that she was bad and selfish and accept responsibility for it. But I honestly don't see...

I tình yêu the movie, it was Amazing, Musical, Funny so well animated the graphics where so well detail, their expressions, like if bạn where watching real people, mind blowing.
When it comes to the story, i just didn't like the fact that their parents die, same thing with The Princess And The Frog when Tiana's father die.
I felt so sad for Anna and Elsa but mostly Anna, her parents had die and she didn't had no one to talk to in that moment, she had no clue why Elsa was keeping her distance from her. With her parents gone and her only family left rejecting her, she must had felt destroyed.
I Love...

I had my danh sách perfectly figured out. Then I saw Frozen. Now it has changed again. It's harder now than it was before to place everyone, especially after deciding I tình yêu both Anna and Elsa in addition to all my older favorites. My danh sách could still change again after I think about it even more, but for now here it is.
13. Snow White
Well she dropped back to last again after moving up an impressive two places. (She's always been low on my list.) She just kind of annoys me with her high pitched voice and I've just never been drawn to her like the other princesses. I really don't like her hair either....

Got inspired bởi dimitri_'s article, I did an bài viết similar to this when I was new to nghề viết văn các bài viết here, if bạn would like to read it clicklink

Snow White

Like I've đã đưa ý kiến so many times before she's my yêu thích Disney Princess. I tình yêu how she always makes the best out of a bad situation and that she's both a child and a mother in the movie and how funny she is and her bossy and sassy side. I also tình yêu that she's an unjudgemental person

Favorite Outfit: Princess Dress with cape - the cape completes the look and makes the dress less plain looking and it's also my yêu thích animated outfit...

Hello there. I might not be able to fully express myself in this and since this is my first time posting an bài viết like this. So,be warned. ^^"
Lets begin!

11) Ariel.
Now,I don't HATE Ariel. I just never really found her all that interesting. She does have her moments where I like her at.
I did like it when she went to the Ursula to turn into a human. Most people think that was a bit selfish of her. I don't though,it was for love. She loved Eric and wanted to be with him.

10) Tiana.
Like with Ariel,I don't hate her. She was an okay character and I really liked her personality. I just...

Well, I've already done an bài viết about the faces of the Disney princesses, so now I suppose I'll go ahead and danh sách my opinions about the prettiest Disney hair. Let's begin!

11. Snow White
Oh, Snow. I hate how you're at the bottom of all lists ever, but with that boring little bob that looks like a gob of paint bạn just don't deserve much higher. Many condolences.

Couldn't have put it better myself
Hello, DP Fanpoppers, in this bài viết I'm going to share my thoughts on they way I see 'The Little Mermaid', and try to prove certain negative opinions surrounding this movie wrong with they way I and certain other people see the situation. Feel free to at least read what I, and many other people's thoughts I've included, have to say about this.

You know, I've always found it off when people mention that Ariel didn't really change her ways bởi the end of the movie. I thinklink, but here's my take on the situation. She does change in the end, it just wasn't as clear hoặc obvious as it should've...
