Edward and Jacob - Most Desirable Male Characters of 2009

As for Jacob, he went downhill. Also, I'm not a prude or anything, but what's with showing his bare chest all the time? Oh, I get it, they're hot guys! (Pun intended) I want one for Christmas, only to use him instead of a shovel when it snows.

I don't think I would actually have as much of a problem with Edward's behaviour is the book wasn't aimed at young girls. It's the fact that some of the younger girls don't recognise that disabling someone's car is plain wrong. They just think it's romantic and he's being protective and that worries me. Take True Blood for example. I've only seen the first season so I can't comment overall but the vampire Bill obviously shows signs of controlling behaviour - but it doesn't bother me as much as Edward's behaviour does, because True Blood is aimed at adults who understand that this behaviour is not okay.

It's been too long since I've read New Moon so I can't remember if he was really shirtless that much in the books - but if he was, it's a bit weird that a full grown woman is writing about a 16 year boy semi-naked all the time, lol.

I've never watched True Blood. All I can say is that some girls/ladies are just delusional. I was an Edward Cullen fan before and now looking back, I don't understand why I was. I admit- During my Team Edward days, I couldn't see through his behavior and actions like I do now. I'm glad the Edward Cullen blindfold is off me now.

Yea right my ass that Edward Cullen is americas favorite vampire maybe to girls from the ages 9-14, but not to me Eric Northman, and Bill Compton is to women 16-and up if you ask me that is way more then five ages not forgetting Lestat, but Lestat is way older then 2009 were they number 1 and 2 if that is that is bullshit

I hate to admit it but I think it's true. Twilight is ridiculously popular. And there are a LOT of Twimoms who are in love with Edward. It's pretty scary.
