Yep...I was meant to audition for the role of Roxie Hart in chicago. I came down with larygitus that sorrowful eve.

I got the part of "Journalist 2", with 1 line. ("Roxie, could you tell us about the man?") Oh well, it was a amazing play anyway, even if i was a little dissapointed. I managed to shrug it off and have a great time with my cast-mates. :) And the girl who got the part over me? Boy did she have a set of lungs on her!

I have never missed an audition that I planned on going to!

I went to Disney World in stead!!

Not at the last minute (forgetting or being ill etc.) but once I was thinking about auditioning for a small part in Beauty and the Beast (one of the "silly girls" that obsesses over Gaston) but my mum had a stomach virus, followed by pneumonia, and was in the hospital on the audition day and the week leading up to it, and I just didn't feel like going for it at the time so I passed on it.

It wasn't a big deal though. I'm not really sure what my chances would've been on getting one of the parts, and I still got to be in the chorus anyway.
