Why is Edward can't read Bella's mind?

edward thought that it may be because bella's mind is on a different "frequency". like he can read people minds' who are in AM but hers is in FM frequency. but afterwards we discover in breaking dawn that bella has a special ability, that of a shield. she can shield and thus protect her mind and thoughts from others. it only works with everything mental though,not physical. therefore edward,demetri,jane,aro can't enter her mind.

It is because Bella has something called a sheld which she finds out when she is a vampire.

She's a sheild, that's what we find out in Breaking Dawn, but as far as I'm concerned, she doesn't have a mind to read. I mean she can't really seem to actually think for herself, hoặc think of anyting outside of Edward...her character really sets women back a good hundred years. he cannot control his feelings around her like in the first book. also because bella cannot control hers so lots of other people dont feel the same way about him so he can read anyone elses mind.

THIS CONTAINS SPIOLERS FROM BREAKING DAWN!! the reason is that bella was meant to be a vamp and her gift when she turns into one is that she has a shield which can protect people and that is why he cant read her mind.

The reason Edward can't read Bella's mind is that she is a sheild which bạn don't find out till breaking dawn. Even as a human she is a shield so she is pretty powerful.

I think the reason Edward can't read Bellas mind is because she is an Angel of God put on earth to protect humans but doesn't no it yet that is why her name is "Bella" from the name Isabella meaning devoted to God, and this is why she is protected from the vamps and the werewolves, she has here own power she just isn't in tune with her power yet, but I think will figure it out.

He cant read her mind b/c she is a shield when she is turned... Just like all the others cant use their powers on her except for jasper and renesmee.
