As a huge Frames người hâm mộ for many years I felt the need to express my great joy and pride at Glen Hansard (singer of the Frames) and Marketa Irglova's Oscar win for the song Falling Slowly, from the film Once. It is so wonderful to see a song from a small independent movie win out over a massive Disney production such as Enchanted, and it clearly means the world to both Glen and Marketa. It also, as Marketa points out in her wonderful acceptance speech, gives hope to other independent musicians and shows that it is possible to achieve recognition for following your dreams and doing what bạn tình yêu to do!

It's been a long time coming for Glen who has worked so hard in the âm nhạc industry and really deserves this success. Being Irish and being a Frames fan, it is hard not to be affected bởi this wonderful achievement of Glen and Marketa's and I hope they enjoy every một giây of it! :)

Comhghairdeas Glen agus Marketa!!
