Ofcourse it can be. tình yêu comes in a diffirente ways and this is one of the ways. bạn tình yêu a person even tough bạn never met them in real life :) because bạn tình yêu with your tim, trái tim and not your eyes. I mean ofcourse in Real life bạn tình yêu with your tim, trái tim too but it ain't the same.

bạn can tình yêu something/someone, as in to feel affection for hoặc appreciate them, but to be "in love" bạn have to... well being in tình yêu is inexplicable really. And furthermore, I believe that bạn cannot POSSIBLY understand being "in love" until bạn are a mature adult. Believe it hoặc not, the media is very good at contorting how people perceive celebrities. If bạn are in tình yêu with someone bạn have seen at school but don't know much at all, chances are bạn are just feeling lust for that person. In conclusion, bạn really need to think about not who bạn love, but what. Do bạn tình yêu that person? hoặc simply their looks. In conclusion, the only way bạn can know TRUE love, is if bạn know this person well. The TRUE them that is true to you. In the way they act towards bạn and how they allow bạn to see them.
