I remember my dad looked in my room to check on me once. I was turned away from the door, so I didn't know he was there, and I screwed up on whatever I was doing at the time, thus causing me to say "shit!".
Thankfully, he was cool about it.

But my parents have always swore in front of us kids. When i was younger my mother would let us get on with it in the home, but always remind us not to if we were going out.
Now we're older we can do what we like, after all we have our own homes and families now apart from my younger brothers.
They are allowed to say 'bloody (hell), bugger, bastard and shit without getting into to much trouble apart from a telling off as my parents say those words.
But any others, especially in the hearing of their father lands them in deep doo doo XD
