Kowalski didn't know what was wrong with him. Obviously, Skipper's jokes on what he believes is wrong with him never helped at all.
Every night, Kowalski has the same dream, and he couldn't tell if it was from his "subconscial visiting pill" hoặc not. In the dream, he's in the streets of the concrete jungle face to face with a young woman, who appeared to be a tomboy with wacky hair and glasses, they smile at each other as their faces brighten up in the moonlight and the đường phố, street lights. He'd feel her hair and rub his hand down her cheek, making her blush, and she'd gently pushed some of his short, black hair to her right. Neither of them spoke, because they knew what they were thinking. But, just as the wind was starting to blow around them and they were about to kiss, he'd wake up.
That dream always comes up in his mind and he'd barely focus on anything else.
One day, he went to Private, told him about the dream, and asked him what it might mean.
"Well, it seems that you're very eager to meet the girl of your dreams, Kowalski," Private said.
"The only problem is that I don't know if she's real hoặc if she's just a figment of my imagination," Kowalski responded with a sigh.
Little did both of them realize that on a subway in Brooklyn, the girl was there talking about the exact same thing to her friend.
"Are bạn sure we might find him this way, Gio?" the girl asked her friend.
"Of course, Monique. bạn đã đưa ý kiến it yourself that none of the other places in New York that we've been to looks like the streets from your dreams," Gio responded.
"I don't even know if he even exists, but it just felt so real," Monique argued.
The train stopped in Manhattan, where the two girls got off.
"Trust me, bạn won't regret this," Gio convinced.
Kowalski and Private were walking around in Central Park while they were talking about this whole "girl of the dreams" scenario.
"If bạn did visit her, there's no doubt that she'd remember you. I mean, did bạn take the pill before bạn went to giường the first night bạn had this dream?" Private focused.
"I don't remember, Private. Like I said, she could just be a figment of an imagination of a loser in love," Kowalski answered, hopelessly.
As they were walking, they, without either of them noticing, came past Monique and Gio. Looking down, with a lack of hope, Monique was hát a tune to herself, which became loud enough for Kowalski and Private to hear.
Turning back, Kowalski came back and complimented on Monique's singing.
"Oh, thanks," Monique đã đưa ý kiến without turning her head.
"Is your friend alright?" Private asked Gio.
"Yea, she's just bummed out because she has a lack of faith in finding the man of her dreams," Gio answered without Kowalski hoặc Monique answering.
"What a coincidence, Kowalski isn't feeling very confident in finding the girl of his dreams. What does the man of your friend's dreams look like?"
"She says he has ocean blue eyes that the pupils could swim in, short, black hair to resemble the summer night, a bit taller than her, has a gentle touch, and a smile that could brighten anyone's day. What about the girl of your friend's dreams?"
"Kowalski describes her as less of a stereotypical girl, thêm of a tomboy, hair that jumps out and is as big as her heart, brown eyes that resemble soil that can grow new possibilities, has glasses, and can be very natural in style without fear."
At that moment, Private and Gio looked back at Kowalski and Monique, Monique walking away to a bench bởi the đường phố, street and Kowalski finding a place to sit down and think, both realizing that Kowalski and Monique were both the one that the other was looking for.
"Should we tell them?" Gio asked.
"I don't think tình yêu should be rushed Miss...?" Private said.
"Call me Gio," Gio responded.
"My name's Private," Private đã đưa ý kiến while trying to grab Gio's hand as they were walking.
At the street, there didn't seem to be a lot of traffic going on, no cars seemed to be coming by. Both on opposite sides of the street, Monique and Kowalski saw each other and came walking toward each other so they could talk.
"Hey, bạn seemed upset earlier. Is there something wrong? Maybe I can help you," Kowalski said.
"Unless bạn know a psychic, I doubt bạn might be able to help," Monique said.
"I once knew a blue-haired girl who claimed to be a psychic, but just used scientific engenuity. What do bạn need help with?"
"You probably might not be interested in hearing it."
"I think i might. I actually have a problem, too."
"Well, mine just involves dreams happening thêm than once."
"Finding the one you're dreaming of?"
"You too?"
"Yea, I've been thinking about what it would be like to find the girl that I've been dreaming about lately, but I'm not sure if she's even real."
"It's almost like, bạn feel like the one in your dreams actually makes bạn feel like that there's someone out there who makes bạn feel like you're not alone. Do bạn ever feel that way.. um,...?"
"Kowalski. My name's Kowalski."
They ended up shaking hands, but Monique's head was still mostly down, yet she feels that Kowalski had a gentle touch.
"My name's Monique," she responded.
"Well, I do understand what bạn were saying earlier, Monique, and bạn make an excellent point. Well, is it okay if bạn lifted up your head so I can speak to bạn properly?" Kowalski said.
Monique slowly lifted her head and, as they both took a good look at each other, they both recognized each other.
"Oh my gosh, it's you," Monique đã đưa ý kiến in shock.
"You actually are real. And bạn look prettier in person," Kowalski replied.
Monique blushed when she heard him say that. As they did in the dream, Kowalski rubbed Monique's hair and cheek, making her turn redder, she pushed some of his hair to the side, but they did speak.
"I'll never be alone now that I've found you," Kowalski started while whispering.
"The one that I have been looking for," Monique concluded.
Just then, the breeze picked up and they ended up kissing on the spot like they should've done in the dream, both feeling like it was the perfect kiss.
In the distance, Private and Gio were watching the whole thing happen from a park bench.
"Aww, that's so romantic," Private said.
"I couldn't agree more, Private," Gio said, putting her head on his shoulder, having him smile at her as a response.
All of the mentionings of their Những người bạn finding the one they've been dreaming of had possibly made them find the special someone in their own lives. tình yêu can be very powerful and it can be surprising, the signs of its magnificence.
