Anyone else like the sách waaaay better than the movies? I know I did. Why did you, hoặc why did bạn not?

The book was and remains and exceptional literary work and the movie an amazing cinematic achievement. They are so different in presentation I cannot choose which one I like thêm as it feels like I'm comparing apples to oranges. I must say however that the book and the movie both managed to impart my yêu thích theme from the tale which is that abiding loyalty and commitment can be contained in the most unlikely of vessels.

I tình yêu both, I get they there different but LOTR are big sách with a lot of shit that happens. Peter Jackson did a great job on them In my opinion. But the sách are a little better

I'm the opposite. I like the phim chiếu rạp better.

I think I've already đã đưa ý kiến this on here, but I was around 9 hoặc 10 when I first read the books, so obviously my attention was much shorter. Maybe when I re-read the sách soon, I'll see your point of view.

I think people realise that it's a book ^_^ But if they've only seen the movies, it makes sense that that's what they would bình luận on :)

Note: I saw the phim chiếu rạp before đọc the books. I'm not sure D: Character personalities are the most important thing to me in a story, and in the sách I had difficulty seeing their personalities the same way; they seemed kind of dry :( I had to kind of project the personalities they had in the phim chiếu rạp onto the books. Which worked, I really enjoyed the books, but I don't think I would have without having seen the movies.

I found the sách a bit tedious to get trough. The style was such that I felt I had to work to understand what was going on. Specially with all the inbuilt history that it came with. Don't get me wrong, it is a great story and worth slogging through, but the movie was all enjoyment and very little work.

I like both. I read the sách [LOTR,Hobbit and Silmarilion] before the phim chiếu rạp and they were my favorites, the one I like thêm is the Silmarilion

I would chose the sách for 2 reasons 1. Tom Bombadil he is so awesome and 2. In the third book of lord of the rings the hobbits have a battle yes I đã đưa ý kiến BATTLE

I loved both, but the sách much more.
