Personally, I think "House" may have another year to go. Maybe not. But it would be odd to cancel the show when they just won all the PCA awards.

I suspect there is at least 1 more Season of House to come. How does the syndication deal work. I thought it was only after 8 years. If so it would be silly to end it before, as I believe syndication is a gold mine!

Hugh Laurie is the only one signed through S8. There have been questions to other cast members about contracts for next year, but they are all very tight lipped. Perhaps under orders, so as to keep up the anticipation.

Perhaps they TPTB are waiting to see how Season 7 plays out. It is way cheaper to have to pay only Hugh out his contract than the entire cast should they decide to pack it in.

That said, I am sure the entire House family is aware that it is coming to the end, and rather than being re-active when it does, it is better to be pro-active and get other options in place.

And I agree, I suspect Hugh IS tired and would like nothing more than to go home, get to know his children again, make love to his wife, read a novel and sleep late. Poor bugger deserves it....

I just hope that before it all ends the idiots in La La Land give Hugh Laurie the Emmy he should have won several times over!!!

I'd hate to see it end. But, could not blame HL for wanting some rest and to go home.
