However, in a new interview Monteith reveals he is vastly different to his được ưa chuộng on-screen character.
The 29-year-old actor opened up to Parade magazine about his troubled past and how he has managed to turn his life around.
“I’m not Finn Hudson,” he declares. “I’m lucky on so many counts – I’m lucky to be alive.
“I burned a lot of bridges. I was out of control,” he told the mag, adding that his drug use included “anything and everything, as much as possible.”
The Glee ngôi sao dropped out of high school at the age of 16 after attending 12 different schools, including an alternative programme for troubled teens.

“That’s when I first went to rehab. I did the stint but then went back to doing exactly what I left off doing,” he says.

While some may express concerns about Monteith staying sober with his new found Hollywood lifestyle, the actor claims he has it under control.
“I’ll go out, but I leave early, before the shenanigans. I don’t really do the Hollywood party thing,” he explains. “I’d rather watch sports hoặc play video games hoặc work out hoặc sleep, to be totally honest.”
As for his plans for the future?
“I want to get married and have children and live happily ever after. That’s important to me.”
