When should I be concerned that they aren't drinking?

I just got two gerbils this Sunday, and I haven't seen them drink ONCE. I put them bởi the water once in a while. I also put a little water dish under the bottle to get them to drink from it, but they won't! I know they are desert animals, but when should I be worried?
