Anyone else not that bothered about Jon Snow dying?

I know that Jon Snow is one of the ''originals'' and a survivng central character from series one, but is it just me hoặc is it not a disaster that he's dead?
As a character, he never had much personality. It was thêm about his actions in terms of adding to the story than his personality, which was as dull as dishwater to be honest.
I don't think he'll be as big a loss to the hiển thị as some of these: Tywin Lannister, Robb Stark, Joffrey and Eddard Stark.
I think it's only người hâm mộ over-hype and women fawning over Kit Harrington that kept his character going for so long.

Unless they have a plan to bring Jon back to life I have a big problem with it. I know no one lives for long in Game of Thrones but getting rid of too many beloved characters just ruins everything.

And who cares if only women fawned over him? It certainly didn't stop the fatass Stannis Baratheon fanboys who cried when their douche king died.

I don't think you've read the sách if bạn say his story is "boring as dishwater". bạn don't know about his parentage? About the shenanigans of the White Walkers? That is so much important in the long run than the dumb political idiocy the crapheads in the South fight over.

I haven't actually seen him die yet because I've only seen up to the end of series 4, but have been unable to avoid hearing about it. You're right in that I haven't read the books, but does that matter when most of the actors in the hiển thị have never read them either?! Is his parentage a big reason for him to stay in it? As far as I knew he's a bastard and we've covered all that ground about his past already.

I kinda agree! To be honest I'm one of those people who thinks it's pointless and a waste of time to complain about deaths... I mean we should know what we got ourselves into when we started... I personally learned after many characters I loved died. So now I prefer to just sit back and get emotional about what happens rather than complaining and almost even starting to hate the hiển thị because some fan-favorite dies.

Trust me, I am not trying to sound like a condescending book purist (I hate book purists with a burning passion), but like, the hiển thị is adapted from a book series? It's not "fan pressure" that kept his character alive, because the writers aren't the ones deciding which major character dies and which stays based on người hâm mộ feedback.

I also disagree that losing him isn't as huge as, say, losing Robb Stark hoặc Tywin Lannister. While both were entertaining characters in their own right, they served their purpose. Believe it hoặc not, Robb Stark was never the hero of this story. He was a cautionary tale of what happens when bạn put too much power into the hands of a 16-year-old who wasn't ready to take on the mantle. That, and his death served to end the Northern rebellion. Tywin Lannister's death was meant to harbinger Cersei's downfall, as she no longer has anyone with wits to clean up her mess anymore, thus beginning the downfall of House Lannister. Similarly, Ned's death set off the events of the War of the Five Kings, and Joffrey's death caused a domino effect that culminated in Tywin's death and Tyrion's exile. They all served a purpose that moved the story forward.

In case you've forgotten, right now Jon Snow is the only link we have between the Seven Kingdoms and what lies beyond. Him dying (like, truly killed off for real) would leave a loose end in the Beyond The tường storyline, as no other major characters are present there anymore. I'd wager he's far thêm important to kill off right now than any of the characters bạn mentioned.

I'm not! I never liked him much except for when he was fighting... To me he seemed as one of the most dull and boring characters when he is sitting around and talking.
