What I don't understand is Ariel & Eric spent just as much time together as Aladdn & Jasmine, in fact, more time together than Aladdin & JAsmine, therefore, got to know each other better, and people say that they like people getting to know each other better than love at first sight, yet Ariel and Eric are winning this poll and Aladdin and Jasmine are losing. And it's not like they didn't fall in love differently- Ariel saw Eric on the ship, thought he was gorgeous, went after him. Aladdin saw Jasmine in the marketplace, thought SHE was gorgeous, went after her. Aladdin & Jasmine decided to get married just as quickly as Ariel & Eric did. It doesn't make any sense to me. Just because Jasmine fought Aladdin off a little?....

I think it' because Ariel and Eric had more of a physical attraction to each other than the rest. Aladdin indeed thought Jasmine was gorgeous when he first saw her, but he got a chance to converse with her before he was dead-on hooked. Ariel fell in love just because she thought he was handsome, and Eric only cared for the voice he heard on the beach. I think that couples that get to know something about each other are the best.
