BY FAR! No contest here AT ALL! Gaston was NEVER a good villain no matter what. But I will give him that, unlike his animated counterpart, he at least came off as a somewhat legit threat (Outside of the last third) instead of just some silly little obstacle. Jafar was ruined by casting someone who was absolutely unsuited for the role. King Stefan was horribly written and horribly acted. The Grand Duke wasn't good at all. Lady Tremaine was an AMAZING villainess and they actually added depth to the character instead of making her just some one-dimensional b*tch.

Other besides what you said about Gaston I agree with you. I've mentioned in an article that Gaston is a terrifying villain because despite being "some little obstacle" he's someone who could exist in real life. Lots of girls and women have met someone like Gaston; someone who gets in their personal space, talks down to them, tries to blackmail them, and being a bully. I can name so many times I've had a popular guy act like Gaston towards me with no one helping me because that guy was so well liked. That's why I think Gaston is one of the scariest villains in the Disney franchise

I actually liked how intimidating and intelligent Jafar appears in the remake. I also like Lady Tremaine.
